  1. Well I can tell you from experience, sugar is my enemy. If I eat one cookie the result will be 20 Cookies. It's my trigger that I must stay away from. I know this and I cant have it period because I have no control over sweets. I do believe that people can definitely be addicted to certain foods.
  2. I read an article about a study they were doing on people who ate meat that had been treated with antibiotics while the animals were alive. Those people vs people who ate organic meat gained weight. They also took a ship of navy men and women and put them on antibiotics for 7 weeks. Each one gained weight. With the hormones and chemicals ingested in animals I have no doubt there is some truth to this. Look how old children look for their ages now.

I can attest to all of that because I was going to do it. I lost more then 60% of my weight. It's all about choices and what we choose to do. It will not come off all by its self and you have to work at it. For those that didn't and have no appetite or want food then good for you but for the most part most of us worked hard. I never cheated one day while losing and that is why I reached my goal. Patience and honesty will get you where you need to be.
  4. I would imagine anything you touch that can get into your skin you would have to change. I know that diet changes help but if you want to be totally free you have to change everything. Sort of like wls. Your whole life changes.
  5. Its not only about diet change to be gluten free you also have to change your soaps, shampoos, lotions, laundry detergents and many other products. It is just not food.
  6. Most people use the holidays and all the goodies as an excuse to eat whatever they want. So now here it is almost the new year so what will your excuses be now? I have said this a million times that for us holidays are for family not to stuff ourselves with food. I don't bake anymore on the holidays because sugar is my trigger. If we are going to a party I will bake then leave it where ever I take it. I have no control over sweets so I just have to stay away from them. There are no major holidays between now and Easter that would require sweets and bad food so now get back to doing you and get the devil out of your head. Just because we had wls does not help with the emotions or the head hunger. If you can get that beat then you will be successful. Whenever I go for food I ask myself are you hungry. Most of the time no I am not and I get some water and go back to what I was doing. The only way you will achieve your goals is to stop making excuses. Actions speak louder then words. You don't have to talk about it just do it. Wishing everyone new and old a happy and prosperous new year. It is always in us to do what we want but our excuses make it hard to do right. If you are not truthful to your self how can you be truthful to others. Just a random thought.
  7. http://authorcheryl.hubpages.com/hub/Justice-for-Steve-the-Pitbull Sometimes I go off the subject of weight loss from time to time just because. So today I am blogging about a pit bull named Steve. I am a huge animal activist that will stop at nothing until animal abuse comes to an end. His story can be found on the above link. No animal deserves this but many pit bulls are treated like him. Today I am Steve's voice. Please share his story so that people can see the true abuse that these animals take.

Raisin brand is no good for me either. I can not get it down no matter how soft it is. Maybe if you like cereal you should try cheerios or something like that.
  10. Ha ha ha you have the nicest words. I missed it but I will catch it on Hulu
  11. Jim I agree we all have those moments but no one has to post a rant about how we should not use our professions to give advise. Well I am proud of what I do and those who spend their entire day on lapband talk and have to be the first ones to post after everyone then there is something wrong with that and the same person that had to rant is guilty of the same thing.
  12. I do believe that LBT installed a block button if you care not to read peoples post that bother you. The last I checked we all have our own mothers and no one here can tell anyone that they are sick of reading their post. If you are then block them that way you will NEVER HAVE TO SEE WHAT THEY POST AGAIN. Frankly Im sick of people telling people what they can and can't post. Who cares its a forum its public and the last time I checked we can disagree, debate, argue etc as long as it is in the forum rules. There is no name calling so why does it bother some so much. If you spend that much time on lap band talk then maybe you should find something else to do. Do I like everything that everyone post? NO if I don't care to read it I move on or block them. It really is a simple task and only takes five minutes or less to find that block button. If you don't know how to do it then find someone who does. First of all if it bothers you so much what people post then you have an issue. I don't believe that every single person in the world will ever agree on the same issues. If you have a political thread is will get uglier then any that are on here. So block those that irritate you and move on.

Yes it does make me hungrier. I suppose it really isn't worth it sometimes.

I agree Terry and I think most of us have that problem. I eat every two hours only because my blood sugar drops. Maybe it would help if you did the six small meals every two hours instead of three meals. I know it makes a difference in how I feel. Hate that blood sugar dropping feeling.
