My surgery was February 3rd and I've been stalled the last 2 weeks. I was a revision so I was expecting a slow loss but I was not expecting to be stalled for 2 weeks when I'm only eating about 800-850 calories a day. My carbs are low, fat is low and Protein is where it should be. It's frustrating but I do measure and I have lost inches those 2 weeks. I think we just gotta hang in there and the scale will start moving again.

I just watched your unstuffed cabbage roll video. It's similar to a recipe I make so I will be trying it this weekend. Thanks for the video/recipe. By the way, congrats on your weight loss and you look amazing.

Tomorrow is 5 weeks post op for me for revision from mgb to rny. The first 2 weeks I was constipated, the next 2 weeks I had severe diarrhea and then BAM constipated for the last week! I have no idea what's going on and how it can go from one extreme to the next in a matter of one day.

That doesn't seem like enough calories to me. I bet if you increase your calories you will lose. Maybe your body thinks it's starving and needs more. It's helped me in the past to increase it some.

with the mini bypass they only make one anastomosis so it's a quicker, safer surgery, With the RNY they make two anastomosis (where they bypass the intestines).

had my revision surgery yesterday in Tijuana. They said I didn't get a video of my surgery since it was complicated. I'm a little sore today but feeling good overall. The gas is for real. I feel sorry for my husband stuck in this hospital room with me farting. lol

I wouldn't consider plastics until you've been at or close to goal weight for 6 months to a year. It doesn't seem like you've given it enough time yet to even consider a revision. I would get back to the basics and on track with your eating and try to lose more before I'd make any decisions. Good luck whatever you decide.

I had the sleeve and then due to acid reflux and my sleeve stretching I got the mgb. Unfortunately for me the reflux got worse after the mgb so now I'm getting a full bypass on Feb 3. What I can tell you was different for me was with the sleeve I had no pain and lots of energy. With the mgb I was really sore for at least a week and I was exhausted for at least 2 maybe 3 weeks. It also took longer for me to go from one phase to the other like Clear Liquids to full liguids, etc. I had to work harder to get my Water in also, really small sips. I also found out about dumping which I didn't have with the sleeve. Hardly any sugar and I was laying down, sick to my stomac, heart racing, head spinning and then exhausted like an adrenaline dump. You learn quickly to avoid sugar! It gets better over time but here I go again with the revision.

That's the craziest thing I've ever heard. It's so weird that's even possible. The human body does weird stuff! Hopefully they will fix it for you. That's why I liked that with the sleeve that extra stomach is removed.

I had my plastic surgery in Monterrey but my wls in Tijuana. If you need a great plastic surgeon I can't highly enough recommend Dr. Sauceda in Monterrey, he is the best. They call him an artist for reason.

I just booked for February 3rd for a revision due to acid reflux.

I was told if you've had the sleeve, you don't have enough stomach to wrap around the esophagus so LNF isn't an option.

I had the sleeve and after horrible reflux had the mini because I was told it would fix it. Reflux is worse than ever and now I need a full bypass. Super upset I have to have another surgery. I wish I would have just gotten the full bypass and not the mini but that's what my surgeon recommended. Waiting to see if insurance will pay for this revision, they denied me last time.

Something that helped me through every stage was the website theworldaccordingtoeggface. She had gastric bypass and she has awesome recipes. I never pureed anything. Her ricotta bake is awesome for that stage and she has a ton of Protein shake recipes too. I just printed a lot of her stuff out and put it in a binder like a cookbook.

@@lost-in-motion I just booked a revision from sleeve to bypass with Dr. Kelly and i was also told about the cash for the hospital. I don't like going to Mexico with that much cash. Dr. Kelly did my sleeve in 2011 and now it's stretched and I have acid reflux. I don't blame him I think he did a great job the first time so I'm comfortable going back to him but the whole hospital thing is not good. Not to mention I was told one price and now it's $1400 more.

I took my then 10 year old daughter to a Water park that had a lake that you could kayak or canoe. She was insistant that we each get a kayak. I told her I wasn't gonna fit in one but she persisted. I wedged by butt in one and it immediately sunk in the sand and got stuck. The kid working the area had to push me out and as soon as he did it tipped over. I then got in a canoe and rowed away. There were a lot of people in line watching and it was mortifying. I am 5'7" and was about 250 at the time. I knew that day I had to do something. There were also a couple of water slides with weight limits that I was slightly over. I can't wait to go back and do it all this time.

I was scheduled with Dr. Illan but due to an emergency that morning (his appendix ruptured) Dr. Zavalza stepped in and did my surgery. No problems and I'm about 8 pounds from goal but smaller in size than I thought I would be.

I had the sleeve in Nov 2011 and had a revision to mini gastric bypass in March 2016. I needed the revision because my sleeve had stretched and I had a lot of acid reflux. I originally lost 88 pounds with the sleeve but then regained about 36 pounds. I wish I had done the rny or mini bypass from the start and only needed one surgery. Having gone through two surgeries I would never recommend the sleeve to anyone. I've talked to too many people that had to have a revision. But ultimately it's your decision and whatever your surgeon recommends. Good luck.

12 weeks post op from mini bypass. Haven't had labs done yet but I feel great and have had no problems. I was a revision so I think my weight loss has been slow but I've lost a lost of inches and I'm down from a tight size 16 to a 12. I've had both the sleeve and the revision to mgb in Tijuana. With the sleeve my father was so worried about me going there (I was 42 years old) that he went with me. He was very impressed with how clean everything was and how well I was taken care of. He and my daughter were also very well cared for. So when I returned for the mgb he felt ok about me going there again. My fiancé had refused to go the first time because he was so worried and didn't want me doing it there but he went the second time after hearing how great it was. Do what's best for you and don't let anyone stand in your way. This is your life and your health. If you have acid reflux go with the mgb and if you have a good Dr. in the U.S. he will support you. If he doesn't, get a new Dr.
