    I hope that helps
Overall, it doesn't look too bad. It's a bit high in carbs, but it's also high in Protein. And at 170 calories per bowl, I don't think you necessarily doomed yourself.

minniekitty got a reaction from BlackBeauty734 in I ate a cheeseburger and I like it!!!! 3 weeks out
I know what you mean. I ate 2 Oreos last night (granted, much less than I used to eat) and had no problems. I still am having issues with protein-dense foods, though. I don't feel terrible for eating the 2 Oreos, but it probably is something I should avoid in the future. Unfortunately, my family loves the junk food so temptation surrounds me!
As long as we make wise choices most of the time, an occasional slip-up isn't worth the anguish.

I just took some new pictures, and I have to add to this thread! I started at 225 lbs a little over 5 months ago. I was sleeved on August 12. I've lost 64 lbs so far and weigh 161 lbs! I have a little more than 15 lbs to go before I reach my goal.
    Before surgery:

5 Months Post-Op and 64 lbs down. Under 16 lbs to goal :wink1:

OMG I know! For awhile I had 150 lbs as my weight on my driver's license (haha, I know). When I renewed it for my 21st birthday, I changed the weight to 170 lbs to make it a little more believable. 170 lbs sounds huge anyway to a lot of smaller people, so I'm sure it doesn't raise too many eyebrows.
I would love to have an accurate weight on my license... once I'm actually happy with my weight of course

I am in counseling and on antidepressants. They do nothing for me. I am not married and don't have kids. I feel so unhealthy from the abuse I put my body through, so I don't see myself having kids in the future. I am so ugly and depressed so no one will want to marry me either.
I had this done because I was so afraid of getting sick after my dad was diagnosed with brain cancer. I wanted to get healthier as I pursued law school, well neither of those goals worked out.
I am certain I shortened my lifespan. I made a huge mistake with this surgery. I wish it made me happy like it did for all of the people I heard about and my aunt who had it done (who now gained back half the weight she lost).
A stomach transplant would be amazing even if I end up a fat cow again.
Fyi... I have nothing against this surgery for those whose lives were transformed by it. I think it can be a life saving surgery for many.

Thanks for posting these tips, I am working on toning now. My stomach, butt, thighs, and upper arms look pretty sad and droopy after losing all my excess weight. I guess that's what happens when I've been obese since I was 8
It sucks because I'm almost as tiny as my little sister (who's always been skinny and fit), but now I have a droopy stomach that hangs out lol. She wears a size 4-6, and I wear a size 6-8. Hopefully working out will be sufficient because I don't want to go through more surgery... I went into this knowing I won't come out looking like a supermodel, but at the very least I want to look normal!

Lol, I need to find a sugar daddy to pay for plastics. jk, my bf loves me the way I am but.... I would love to fix some of my saggy skin. My boobs were immune to the weight loss for awhile but even they are shrinking and going south a bit as I get smaller. I look at my past posts on this thread and just shake my head

minniekitty got a reaction from Iwant2Bthatgirl in No Longer Hot? Omg This Is Awesome!
Oh really? That would explain a lot. I'm always cold, which is something I prefer to always being hot and sweaty. When I was big, it was so embarassing when my pits and back would sweat like crazy. Especially when I was at school and wore a backpack. I had the clinical strength antipersperant and deoderant, and I'd put it not only on my pits, but inbetween my lovehandles on my back and under my boobs! I still couldn't do anything about my sweaty forehead or scalp (which made my hair look wet and greasy on especially hot and humid days).
I can soooo relate to this NSV. I share your joy. This is one of the many pros to the VSG. I dreaded the summer (I live in a very humid area), but now I can be comfortable this year! Congrats, WhoozisAnyway.

I'm not an expert on the subject, but my ex used to put baby powder on his junk to help with chaffing after he lost 100+ lbs. Maybe that can help if the problem returns.

I like this NSV and can totally relate to it!!! I also hoped to run into an exbf of mine who sometimes gave me a hard time about my weight and how much I ate (which is odd because he had gastric bypass surgery done when he weighed almost 300 lbs). Never did, but he did see pics of me on Facebook and said I looked good and congratulated me on my weight loss.
Maybe someday I'll run into him and rub it in his face some more. Mwahahaahaha

minniekitty reacted to Julie76 in Hahahaha! Take That Ex Boyfriend! Nsv
I have secretly been wanting to run into a certain ex-boyfriend of mine. I dated him for awhile before I had my surgery and he told a friend of mine after we broke up that the reason we broke up was because I was fat. Not that he had a problem with it but that I had the problem with it and I was miserable about it. He told her that if I wanted to do something about it I could and just not eat as much. hahhahhahaha! We all know how easy that is. So I haven't seen him in nearly a year and ran into him yesterday. He took a double take before he realized who I was and walked over to speak to me. The weird thing is no words came out of his mouth. He just stood there looking at me....... I finally said hello to break the tension and still all he could say was "WOW". I said thank you and walked off. This helped me realize two things. 1. All this hard work I put into this was WELL worth it. and 2. He was right. I had to make the choice to "do something about it". I would do it again in a heart beat just so I could see the look on his face again!

I disagree. You are an inspiration because you chose to change your life - whether by surgery or another way - and you lost weight. The surgeryade your stomach smaller, but you are an inspiration becaus you chose to follow your diet plan andose weight. Even with a smaller stomach, if you had chosen to eat horribly, you would not have lost or wouldn't have lost as much. You should embrace the fact that you can be an inspiration for others and cherish the choice you made to be healthy, which encourages those around you to be healthy too - no matte what road they choose to get healthy!
