  1. SELF SABATOGE. Ive been on both sides...and right now Im the biggest Ive ever been close to 300 lbs. 7 years ago I was 270 lbs and lost 70 lbs...the amount of attention was unbelievable. And like a couple of posters here I went back to my old eating. Now tho,,,I need to loose the weight,,,Im close to 40,,,my health is slipping,,,boarderline high BP, winded climbing stairs. I know Im going to benefit from councilling...as I have already in the past.
  2. Mona I had to tell a couple of people at work about your story,,,they laughed. I have a couple of people at work I would like to have karma set straight....
  3. Hi there,,,I did see Dr. McKenna about 2 years ago for about 6 months. The extra $150. is for a metabolic rate test. There is a tube that you keep for future metabolic tests. I found going to her good,,,I would have some great talks with her. My only problem is it was literally across the city from me and I couldn't get there after work in time for my appointments. There is no reason why you couldn't be going to her and waiting for the lap band.
  4. jjsmiles when did you get banded?
  5. hi Dan,,, know what you mean,,,my ducks are marching pretty good right now...wish my time was here so I can then just keep going. Angie
  6. I so did like Dr. Church,,,and fingers crossed he becomes my Dr when the time comes for me. hope you find the right one for you Tyler and you too Dan... please keep us informed. Angie
  7. Heather,,, Congrats on the surgery... Im in Calgary too...and waiting....*sigh
  8. Oh My I do have to post ... I grew up in the NWT of Canada,,,and I remember I had the Billy Idol hair ( a perm gone bad) And to ad to the look a friend's cousin was in hair school and needed someone to do hair colors on,,,Hot Pink. I had think black eyeliner,,,and Madonna tees,,,with bracelets,,,black leather books over my skin tight jeans with the zipper starting in the back and coming under and over to the front...yup I was soooo hot. I did the Boy George faze...the long shirt and hat... Cyndi Lauper had nothing on me.... In a small town,,,this was strange. I remember my boss (pizza joint) asking me to keep doing things to my hair cause sales increased with people wanting to check out my newest look...ha
  9. Oh Tyler,,,you are truly blessed. Im happy for you. This guy sounds like a good person. Angie
  10. Ive always been indifferent to cosmetic surgeries...to each his/her own. I personally would... I know I will want me face done,,,looking at my mother,,,and pictures of my grandmother,,,I know I will want a tuck or two. There is a young woman I work with who has a mom who is adicted to face lifts and other cosmetic surgeries...she had her eye lids done,,her eyelids and eyebrows tattooed,,,lips injected and tattooed, breasts done, tummy tuck, chin, and a dimple...I learned how a dimple is made. It grossed me out.
  11. Heather,,,wow that is a huge clothing change for you. I know of a owman who hasn't had a tummy tuck and I dont think shes interested in getting one. Looking at her,,,,you can see the loose skin,,,around her nexck area...and well if she wears cloth fitting pants,,,her front looks like a butt. All that loose skin stuffed inside I guess.
  12. Susan..you too? Im starting to put my loonies aside for that...by the time I need to get it done I should have a good down payment for it. Angie
  13. oh I know I wouldn't be NOT getting the TT...first priority is health,,,second yes I do want to look good too.
  14. I know Alberta Health Care covers a tummy tuck...after a huge weight loss. Angie
