Alcohol Post Op
last time i drank, i was planking in the middle of the street. well not literally, i tripped and fell lmprao! my friends all joke that i was planking on the busiest street of the bronx! to top it off, my ring flew off my finger when i fell & instead of getting up & picking up the ring, i laid there (face down), grabbed the ring & put it back on my finger before getting up! LMPRAO!!! now that right there was the funniest thing ive ever done!

see i hate alcohol but sometimes we need to let loose! lol. i drink strawberry daqs because i cant tolerate the taste of alcohol or even the smell. it needs to be in a frozen drink. but i swear, i really want that liquid courage for that club night. i know ppl who drink with WLS and get pissy drunk. i dont want all that. i want a nice buzz.

im afraid to drink now since i just healed from a leak & had my stent removed monday. i was just allowed foods yesterday after a month without eating. at the sametime, im young (23 which is no excuse to drink lol) & fresh out of a 10yr abusive relationship & i want to go out & have fun & meet ppl! im also not much of a dancer and was hoping some liquid courage will have me letting loose a little at a club or something. just my honest reasons. i def am not going to do it anytime soon out of fear of my healed leak but i def wanted to know for future references:)

ive never been much of a drinker. im the type that has a social drink 2 or 3x a year. when did you have your first sip of alcohol? when did your dr say it was ok? i asked my nurse practioner and she told me to wait a few weeks because my tummy just healed from a leak. i wasnt going to drink anyway but i was just curjous if i had an ok.

2 Month Post Op Update
the experience was hell. youre the second person i heard of saying that their stomach twisted. what is up with that? i never knew that was even possible! thats crazy! how far out were you? does that only happen in the begining or can it happen whenever? what causes it? honestly, the 56 (lost another lb) wasnt worth all that i went thru. it was pure hell & i wouldve prefered to have gained it than lost it but its over now & im moving fwd!

the sleeve surgery itself wasnt bad. you feel sore but its not an agonizing pain or anything. plus ull have a morphine pump. my complications were a billion times worse than the vsg surgery itself. i dont know if that brings any relief lol

2 Month Post Op Update
i went & saw my dr today. he has me on clear liquids until my next visit which is thursday. he said my esophagus was inflamed which is a given since he just pulled a stent out of it. he said he didnt see a leak but that there is a chance that i have a small hole which is why he wants to do clears a little so that it can continue to heal without a stent inside. so far i have some gas bubbles coming up but thats it.

WHEN YOU ARE READY, you will know. in the mean time, relax! enjoy your pain meds & watching the weight come off.

2 Month Post Op Update
so its been a little less than 24hrs since removing my stent. i must say, i feel a lot better already. i didnt need to take loritab for pain last night and i usually take it 2x per night... sometimes even 3! usually i cant find a comfortable sleeping position because it hurts my chest & back badly. usually ifeel chest & back & even rib pain all day long! i dont feel anything now. my throat is sore but thats nothing!!! i can handle that pain anyday compared to a stent. also, usually i have CONSTANT saliva. i have a bucket next to my bed. i havent been spitting since getting home but was still spitting right after the removal. i cant believe its out. its too good to be true. i keep thinking the dr is gonna call me with bad news lol. seriously! i feel lucky & feel blessed right now. it was truly TRULY truly hell and i made it. thank you god!!!!! thank you to all of you who listened to me whine and complain and cry and b!+ch day in and day out about my experience. you guys truly helped a lot. also thank you to favoredone (im not sure if shes following this story) but she went above & beyond and sent me 2dozen roses from proflowers with this beautiful red vase. its the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me and i wish i could squeeze her!!!! im thankful & grateful for you all. in the complications part of this blog is where i will continue to tell my story under the post "i definitely regret surgery....so far" incase you guys are interested in my follow ups for future months.
