SUPER nerveous... To go in and tell her I need time off!!! Not saying what the procedure is.. Just saying it's personal and that's going be the hard part!! I know she is going push to want to kno what it is! BUT I just came from the doctor y-day and she up my high blood pressure med. For the THIRD time! I know I'm making the right choice! I'm TOO young for this :-( ready for a change!! Please send me courage!!! THANKS!!!

I love day of surgery stories!! I could read them for hours all day lol. Wish they had a forum for them.. Unfortunately I haven't been sleeved yet so I do not have one... This will be my very first surgery so knowing how it goes is insightful. Thanks for this post and thanks to anyone who will share there stories!

Hello Trizzy, I'm cracking up over your post! I think they just do not understand how and what we go through...Some ppl do not know how to look at others point of view. Majority of my friends are skinny, for example I been talking and explaing my surgery to one of my "skinny" friends for over 6months.. Yday I told her i was taking 2 weeks off from work she replied by " Why so long are you have gastric bypass" This totally pissed me off I explained and told her the name of my procedure for months so obviously she wasn't listening. My feeling where hurt but i just ignored it because, if you never had a weight problem you just DON'T GET IT! lol 

We just finished our audit... Our year end not untill October and I'll be back before month end. My manager seems understanding hopefully won't be a problem!

A month ahead would be the week of my already paid family vacation. I'm afraid if I notify earlier they will say to cancel my vacation... Think I'm going said it's a emergency surgery and it's personal. Hope I don't lose my job :-( just got a promotion..

Is three weeks before surgery too short of notice to take 2 weeks off for my sleeve surgery?

Doing my pre-op diet 2 weeks before... Only allowed Meal Replacement shakes and Protein bars . I'm sooo neverous I'm going have headaches and become very tired.. Right now I'm going through the last supper syndrome anyone one else having this problem?

Yes!! We can be Sleeve Siblings lol My doctor is Dr. Muhammad Feteiha he was the first doctor to perform perform Laparoscopic Bariatric Surgery in my county Union County NJ.. Very happy and confident with him..

September 12... Close enough lol He isn't my doctor but i heard nothing but good things about him...

Me- I'm having wls surgery in septmeber. Them- (funny twisted face) your too small for that your not meant to be skinny, you won't look right! Me- Well my doctors and insurance company think it's medically needed and I have high BP and pre-diabetic. The scale doesn't lie I'm OBESE! Them- Doctors go off those skinny people guidelines(BMI). and high blood pressure you just need to watch what you eat... Plus you lost weight before you just need to focus Me- I can lose weight but keeping it off is whats hard this is just going be a tool to help me. Them- You really dont need WLS WHAT SHOULD I SAY TO THIS-hate telling ppl but I'm a open person... :-(

Heyyy my day is Sept. 12... The 2nd week!! I never thought I would want summer to be over faster!! Months are moving too slow for me :-(...I also can't can't can't WAIT! lol GOOD LUCK with all the test!

Lol yes I hope my 12 things will be a thing of the past soon!! :-)

Thanks alex0808- I have a desk job (accounting) going do 2 weeks hopefully that enough but when did u alert your job on your actual surgery date? Since I know so far out should I wait or should I tell them now?
