THanks for the suggestions! I took Milk of Magnesia a couple times which helped me to go, now Im trying my best to push the fibers and the water intake, I take metamucil every once in a while when I dont feel that Ive had enough fiber in the day.

Definately, depends on your insurance, and I know for a fact that Dr. Srikanth could do the surgery at the same time, prior to surgery he even made a humor out of it and said "too bad your gallbladders ok", he really is a funny guy!!

Just keep on pushing your fluids, dont get behind, find some good broth or better yet sugarfree popsicles:) After your first week you'll be able to drink your protein shakes which should help you to feel better!! Remember this first month is your healing stage, so be kind to yourself:)

Thankfully, he is one of the best docs out there!! You'll be in good hands!! Everything has gone just fine better yet Im actually losing weight, , I absolutely LOVE my band, it definately helps me keep to eating the right portions and its also made me aware of the food choices I make! I am also very happy with his staff, you'll really get to know Terri (NURSE) she is a grreat resource and can easily be reached, which I especially appreciate! Dr. Srikanth is very knowlegdable and better yet his bedside manner is A+++, he's very laid back and at the same time compassionate, he's also one of the only docs that will take your vital signs if needed, which definately says much on his qualities as a person. I wish you the best of luck and let me know if I can answer anymore questions!!:clap2:

Find a broth that works for you, the canned albertson brands arent so bad, always carry water with you, and have a freezer full of sugar free popsicles!

At least its something:) I've read lots of your entries on hear and you are such an inspiring person!! And I love the before and after pictures!!

February 2007 bandsters!
Thats what I thought at first until I verified it with my drs office and they told me to come in when I dont feel restriction. So I'll be going in this week rather than waiting until June. I did go back on liquids on my own, only for a few days though, it was fine I just kept up with my protein shakes and vitamins.

February 2007 bandsters!
Welcome Back!! So how often, if any, do you feel restriction? If you haven't felt much of a difference after your 1st fill then you should probably get a second one. I had my 1st fill 2 wks ago and now I rarely have any restriction so I'll be going in this week to get fill#2. Best of luck to your too!!

February 2007 bandsters!
Thats awesome that your fills are included with your package, 1st ones free then the rest is $125per fill!! I didnt know I'd be able to get a 2nd fill any sooner than my 3month followup, I did contact my dr's office and they did suggest that if I can eat a hamburger patty in 15min then I should come in. So needless to say I'll be getting that 2nd fill hopefully this week!! Thanks for the reassurance!

Anyone have a seroma at the port site?
Thanks for the reply! I went to see my Dr today and he took the steristrips off then applied lots of pressure, ouch! He said it didnt look infected but it was irritated from the steristrips and attatched to my skin, he did start me on keflex just in case! I just love this website also, its provided me with lots of info!!:clap2:

Drinking Too Much Post Op?
I too believe the protein shakes help, I was able to start it today and I feel better than I have the past week. Isnt it funny I never thought broccoli and cheese soup could ever taste so good. But I think that now that I can have the protein shakes that'll be better! Goodluck to you and great job on keeping with the clear liquids, keep me updated!!:clap2:

Drinking Too Much Post Op?
My Dr didnt want me to start the protein shake until after 1 week, which was unfortunate b/c that was the only thing that was giving me energy. I too have not been able to drink all my liquids as recommended, simply out of fear of the unknown, but after reading the replys on this forum I feel better about it. Has anyone ever experienced head pounding headaches, stiffnecks postoperatively? ( Do you think it might be the anesthesia wearing off?)
