  1. @Redmaxx nice to see you vent away!! diabetes, sleep apnea - i don't understand why they would return to bother you!! IF they never disappeared PO, that would be sad. but they were gone,. now to show their ugly face again - what in the world!! i DO understand your feelings - anger - but don't let this set back bring you down. when i used to get upset - i would eat. don't suggest doing that for you/me/anyone!! i think the good does outweigh the bad!! still upsetting. IMO you got the great weight results, giving you more energy etc. (sorry about the return of the monsters) congrats on your weight loss you are aces!! kathy

  7. @kimberlymi welcome, welcome, and welcome looks like you are doing great pre-op. one big thing you can practice on are water rules. stop drinking 1/2 hr before you eat, don't drink while you eat, wait 30 minutes after you eat, before you can drink. at the end of the day, always follow NUT/doc rules. he might give you different time periods, instructions about anything. keep researching about the sleeve and bypass. info on u-tube and the board. KNOWLEDGE is POWER!!! good luck kathy
  8. @Sammy 10-30 great pics never saw that much of you in the past now i'm seeing "less, and less" of you keep up the good work kathy
  9. @veronica97 NUT is the acronym for the word nutritionist!! when i joined this board, I would see NUT many times. i didn't know what it meant either. many OP would say someone was a "nut"? sounded like they were saying someone was crazy LOL the fact that your NUT is a WLS "survivor" is wonderful. she understands many things we all deal with. good luck kathy
  10. @veronica97 you are off to a great start. you've lost 10 lbs so far. Way to go!! keeping track of all the food you eat and drink is helpful, important The journal your NUT gave you sounds terrific. good luck with the time ahead of you. jumping threw all the hoops of insurance - eventually having your sleeve. take care kathy
  11. @LilMissDiva Irene holy moly!! what a way to start the day - seeing you and your smiley face. it's been 6+ years since i was sleeved. not to many of us oldies but goodies around. i remember you helping me and soooo many newbies et. al. you were very inspiring and helpful, and we all loved you glad you are back looking for a little accountability, help. we all struggle at times - glad you are back to your roots (btw, did you know that @Alex Brecher had a revision to RnY )very recently) I was at GOAL for a long time - scale has been moving the wrong way past few months!! , gradually am up 11 lbs!!! (confession is good for the sole) lets meet for drinks, i'm buying. WATER of course!!! - see you around the neighborhood WELCOME BACK kathy
  12. i am not receiving some emails - my pop up will show for example "The Good and Bad" (newpost/ message) - but it does'nt come up. i have many responses for that subject - but according to pop ups i should have "a million" more! other emails i probably don't get either i think i might have pushed a button in the bottom right corner that messed stuff up! also my notifications show differently - sometimes its the 1). rectangler (msp) in the bottom right hand corner - 2.)other times it shows i have a new email in the bottom middle of post - i hit the link and the post comes up. (these are the posts received) i would like to have the same way to show all new posts (selection 2) Please help this grammy out ASAP - thanx kathy
  13. @Em_Jay75 so what do you think about the above? - nothing ventured, nothing gained kathy

  16. @FluffyChix the above are good examples of bad things often said my favorite, frequent, bad remark is..... I have only lost (X) lbs hey bud - look forward to your "update" posts - your obsessive tracking of protein, carbs, fat etc. are great (i never was that specific) keep up the great job - i know you will kathy congrats
  17. @LadyDrDenyse i didn't post a pic of my neck you are looking at the pic of @istytehcrawk kathy
  18. @LadyDrDenyse i have had a turkey neck since i was a teen. i'm 64 years young. After i lost 105 lbs (goal) i decided to have a face lift, getting rid of my TN. this was a gigantic splurge for me. (money!!) but i came to the conclusion that I was worth it!! Wonderful NSV kathy
  19. @VictoriusCarmelita there are always a few rotten apples in a barrel. don't let them scare you away. most OP are great here. ask your questions and you'll get good, helpful, info advice, hear experiences. read all the sites here, many others have similar questions to you. use the search in the top right hand corner. jump into conversations with your comments. Newbies are people too!! LOL "enjoy" jumping thru the hoops of insurance!! most of us been their see you around the neighborhood. good luck @ElseeG glad things are going well finding a great support group and nutritionist - terrific, important, helpful way to start your voyage good luck kathy

  24. @it'sonlythefirststep pic alert, pic alert always good for newbies to take their pic before surgery. take it again while you are loosing weight. i always hid from camera. no old pics. glad i took before sleeve to remind me what i used to look like!! I don't recognize myself, but in a morbid way, i don't want to forget what i looked like in my "previous" life!! - 3 weeks PO, congrats on loosing 20 lbs!! kathy
  25. @CurlyV good for you!! most of us hate pics from the past. seeing the weight on our body. for me (and you too?), i think its good to remember our roots. i keep a copy of my before pic in my wallet. i proudly show it off when WLS subject comes up. i suggest all newbies et al do the same!! good luck with your surgery - kathy
