  1. Congrats! I had my surgery on April 24th and my first visit is today also. Did they advance your diet any?
  2. I had my first bm 5 days after surgery. My nurse told me to up my stool softner intake from 1 Colace to 2 a day. It did the trick. I am almost 2 weeks out and happy to say I had a bm back to back this week and I am excited about that!

  5. You will open your eyes, look around then go right back to sleep. Lol. I spoke with the nurse about pain and then she gave me morphin. My eyes went bright then i was out. She got a good laugh at me because of that. Like gassy girl, groggy is the better word to describe the first few moments after surgery.

  8. My doctor said 2 weeks.
  9. Has anyone experienced tingling in legs after surgery. When i go the bathroom, my legs start to fall asleep immediately. Is this normal?
  10. My mouth just watered! Lol i need you to come prepare all these dishes [emoji23]
  11. Had my surgery on April 24th and no amount of research could prepare me for what I felt! However, things are looking up for sure! I’m walking daily and getting back to feeling normal. I’m struggling with liquids but my mom came in for the surgery and she has a timer set to make sure I’m exercising and drinking. Now, we are in the process of complying some food food ideas for the purée stage. This is something I’m looking forward to after being on liquids going on 3 weeks now! Any recipe suggestions? Down over 20lbs since i started the liquid diet to now! Woohoo!!!

  13. Ok, this is going to sound gross but I’ve been on my liquid diet almost 2 weeks now and I’m having major constipation right now. I have taken stool softeners and did an enema. When i go to push, the hard piece is stuck and liquid just comes out around it. So nasty I know! I’ve even resorted to digging pieces out myself and still nothing. Now I’m in pain and crying. I can’t pee because the pain of pushing hurts my butt. Does anyone have a recommendation or should I just call the doctor?
  14. I’ve lost 20 lbs already. I honestly think it depends on the person.

  19. After being on the liquid diet for a few days, I am already noticing a difference. I am truly amazed. I was doing some research and the sugar intake contributes significantly to A.N. On this liquid diet I've only been getting in about 5g of sugar a day.
  20. I have PCOS too. I believe A.N. is also a possible side effect. I have it on my inner thighs also.
  21. For those who suffer with A.N., did you recognize a difference with your condition after surgery? Since I was 10 I’ve struggled with darkness in certain areas and would love to see an improvement with surgery. I’ve tried everything possible externally but no improvement. For those who don’t know, Acanthosis Nigricans is a skin condition that causes dark velvety areas on the body in places such as the armpits, neck, around mouth, etc.
