(it was a cartoon fiigure on a blouse) the reason was it was the best one that fit over me that looked "ok" but i didn't know how to respond - and it made me feel bad/sad so i/us know where you are coming from same time next year, what a difference in your new healthier, happier longer life kathy congrats

  6. @@*Lexie* welcome to the neighborhood always room for one more you are GREAT for prepping yourself for surgery not drinking with meals is VERY hard for some/many/me to learn how to do, and then master!! good for you on starting to deal with that now!!!! after you eat, you know you aren't supposed to drink again for one week!!!! gotcha!!~! i meant one hour!! Many/most "rules" that sleevers et al are just basic things that "normal" people should also do moderate/smalll portions eat slowly eat dense Protein first (ie chicken) this will make you full quicker monitor your carbs keep track of what foods you are eating chew thoroughly put utensil down between bites eat from a small plate 64 oz Water per day (more rules too, these are just a few examples) these are normal things -some/many/most people should/but don't do i know i sure didn't follow those rules pre-op hope surgery is sooner than later I give you an A- right now always room for improvement you'll be at A+ before you know it!!! good luck kathy

  10. @@ssbills some/many NEWBIES "might" think they are gonna lose a million lbs/or so in a week!!! not gonna happen some/many times people have to convince a newbie, that a smaller weight loss is ok right after surgery in your case - 13 lbs is a wonderful loss would i lie to you?? but then again ANY weight loss is a good start but as others have said........... 13 lbs is great!!!! next week you "might" not lose that much don't be upset!!!! you/we./me didn't gain the weight overnight its not gonna come off overnight either but it WILL come off "God Grant Me Patience, Just Hurry Up About It!!" have a great week keep up the good work kathy congrats

HINT, HINT when you start at a heavier weight, you usually lose a lot more at the beginning slow down a bit after, then hopefully start to lose a little more in the weeks ahead 93 lbs is alot!!!!but thats great glad you are staying focussed!!! keep up the great job good luck kathy congrats

  14. @@Geoff welcome, welcome newbie looking at charts to give you a good guestimate is great remembering the weight you used to be when you felt and looked good is also a helpful baseline but........some charts might say ie to weigh ie 200 lbs as you are reaching that weight you might realize that is still too much, and you want/need to lose more or, it could be the opposite you are reaching the goal weight "they" say, and you realize you should stop because losing more would be too much always listen to your body IT knows what it wants/and frequently/eventually will tell you good luck kathy
  15. What is Onederland @@MistyAnnMoon829 onederland IS the day you FINALLY reach the weight in the 100's ie 199.8 day most of us anxiously wait for good luck kathy

  19. @@MarissaSalvador congrats on having surgery last week sounds like you are improving on your water situation?? 70 gr of Protein is great BUT - at this early stage in your game water is more important than protein if you don't drink enough you may/might have problems popsicles are considered a "little" Fluid - but not much but i loved theml too!!! great for warmer temperatures now!!! they keep your lips wet/moist, making you feel great drinking isopure, any/all Protein drinks are great and do count as your liquids some/many people drink chrystal light to help their water situation others try to drink water at room temperature if they are having problems again, concentrate on the liquids first protein will come in its own time (but you are trying Protein shakes so thats killing two birds with one stone ) read the boards - older questions that might answer your questions you'll get a lot of good info here ask your questions too but we are always here for you remember, we are all smart but you should always listen to your doc/NUT before us!!!! good luck kathy
  20. @@MarissaSalvador some/many newbies are afraid they are not losing enough weight immediately after surgery some people like you, might be afraid they are losing too much weight there is no correct/normal answer we are all different and losing different amount of weights in different time periods never, never, ever compare yourself to others people have been shot for less!! you are not losing too much or too fast you are doing fine REALLY keep up the good work kathy
