  5. @Yolie1977 sorry you are feeling sad many newbies are under the misconception that they will lose ie 50 lbs in one week doesn't work that way? It's always easy to GAIN weight, not as easy to lose/maintain losing 6 lbs is nothing to sneeze over - good for you!!☺️ try not to get down on yourself, get upset, wonder if you should have had surgery (easier said than done) many OP temporarily feel upset post op - they don't feel well, get nauseous etc - have problems drinking water PO for awhile. good for you on realizing you must have liquids (can't afford to get dehydrated!) broth, protein shakes are good. continue to push those liquids, have popsicles too, they taste great (to me) you are and will continue to do great!! I can feel it in my bones!! keep on keeping on good luck kathy
  6. @nenes78 holy moly dude you look great☺️ keep up the good work i know you will kathy congrats
  7. @RosePollard hey bud sorry you are "jumping through" the hoops of insurance. continue to stay in touch with insurance et al - when "they" tell you nay or yea - (hopefully yea) have them send you a letter, so no misunderstanding -if they do so nay - you should/must appeal!! fingers & toes crossed☺️ good luck kathy
  8. @TeeMillz welcome newbie i had my sleeve one month before i turned 58 years OLD I will Be 65 years YOUNG in January!! it wasn't harder for ME to accomplish my weight loss maybe a little slower - that is just me never compare your successes to others, whether they be a youngun, or an old fart like us?? good luck Friday kathy
  9. @MG1776 nothing, i know where everything is!!! 5 pounds - Chihuahua 100 pounds = 2 month old horse ride em cowboy!!!! kathy
  10. @FluffyChix its the little things that matter when i learned to tie my shoes last month, I was ecstatic !!!? kathy congrats
  11. @Beachladee3 hi newbie? be consistent on which scale you listen to, doesn't matter what the weight says. if you want to go by the docs scale scale or yours , just only go by same scale - on other words don't compare each other good luck kathy

  15. @rs boy are you nosey? kidding bud!! i see you've had a bunch of NSV's - seeing collarbone, crossing legs etc, clothes those are wonderful feelings! hold on to them!!☺️ looking at you in a pic/mirror - doesn't always tell the whole story. when i see a pic of myself - urgggggh when i look in the mirror - i am happy with what i see!! guess i'll just stick to the mirror LOL regardless, i always look cute as a button LOL (bet you do too!!) good luck kathy
  16. many times OP post about their prob - we don't know how they are doing later - thanx for taking the time to update - we were all worried? aint it the truth? acid can be caused by bacterial infection or regular use of aspirin or anti inflammatory meds ( NSAID) ie ibuprofen - wise words of Webster (not me)LOLOLO good luck - glad you are slowly feeling better, able to drink kathy
  17. @betterL8thanever haven't we gone over this ?, you are not old!!! LOL OP stands for other person kathy
  18. @Vagrant Violet welcome newbie at your early stage - you shouldn't be drinking fast!! but you learned not too, (the hard way) - but you are good to go now , sure no damage was done. about one month PO i chewed some meat too fast - i was so scared - "that was it" I totally screwed up. My life is over LOL. I knew that i had to chew better and slower, I knew what to do - but i needed/wanted some reassurance. (like you coming here to the boards) Called my NUT to talk - got the reassurance i needed, and life continued!! was i acting a little paranoid - yeh think LOL - A little paranoia is ok - just don't go crazy and worry too much!! ? You are/and will continue to follow the rules -don't drink fast - i didn't gulp til my NUT gave me the ok!! good luck huggggs kathy
  19. @Anna82808 hmmmm - many OP say they experience different types of mood/emotions - for a period of time PO. At 8 months, i don't think this new prob is associated with your surgery. Check what else is going on - we can't blame all our problems on WLS? - hope things, your feelings will improve - and you'll be good as new congrats on your weight loss good luck kathy
  20. @betterL8thanever Most OP wish they had their surgery years ago. (they would have been younger) LOL I turned 58 years OLD when i had my WLS - In January I will be 65 years YOUNG Your screen name is perfect - you are never too old for WLS. Before you know it, you'll be "YOUNG" like me! (also successful and cute as a button!!)☺️ good luck next week - speedy recovery kathy
  21. I see the original poster, is no longer with us (no she didn't die LOL") but talking about reflux is always important, newbies need help - answers Awful, awful, awful!! That terrible burning sensation!!I also was woken up with that burning, terrible feeling - I immediately sat up - went to fridge, and grabbed a slice of bread - had about 3 bites - this helps a bit - take prescribed med or tums. For me - continuing to lay on back would be awful. good luck kathy
  22. hi newbie, welcome to our board - we keep getting "smaller" and "smaller" sure you will be able to drink "normally" again. many OP struggle to get ANY water down the hatch so quickly PO./ later too. consider yourself lucky!! at your early stage, continue to take small sips - ask your NUT when you can "officially" start drinking more at once - and eventually be allowed to gulp. You and other OP that can drink so much - congrats, that's wonderful. Can't drink too much water. It's so good and important for all - drinking a glass to your health☺️ good luck with sleeve next week kathy
