  1. What Is Your : weight before sleeve?: 298 weight After Sleeve?: 247 How many weeks is your sleeve?: 8 did you start to gain weight already?: no
  2. This was the most difficult stage for me. I just roughed thru it. Good luck!
  3. If you would've asked me the first three weeks I wouldn't have been able to say yes for sure because I was fighting head hunger, dehydration, and a stall. 50 pounds and 2 months later: in a heartbeat.
  4. Your body is still adjusting. I understand the fear and unease it may cause but give it about two more weeks. Then if you're still concerned put in a call to your surgeon. Just remember you went through major surgery give your body time to heal and adjust. And happy sleeving (;
  5. Sending love and quick recovery thoughts your way!
  6. My first 50 pounds are officially GONE and FOR GOOD! I'm so happy. I don't think my eyes have caught up with my body yet (other than the really baggy clothes I see and feel). However, it's amazing to see that I am 50 pounds lighter and I kinda feel it too. Happy Sunday sleevettes!!
  7. It really depends on your NUT and surgeon's suggestion for how much you should be eating. Hopefully a plan was made personalized around how much you can intake. If not, and you are able, try to visit the NUT and you can go over what you eat and how much you should be eating. As for Vitamins, per my surgeons orders, I take: a one a day complete Multivitamin sublingual (under the tongue) b12 once a day Calcium citrate 3x a day Iron Hope this helps! Im about two months out as well. Great weight loss, keep up the amazing work! Ps. some days i feel as if i eat more than others. however, if you are in tune to your body it will send you clues so as long as you're eating on track and not overdoing it i think youre fine. dont get frustrated and if you really r that worried make an appt [:
  8. It could be a mix of factors your anxiety, general nerves, and being on a liquid diet. Even after the surgery the thoughts of 'why can't i eat more?' 'why did i do this?' will creep up on you. Be prepared to be angry, sad, depressed, anxious, etc. even after the surgery. be open with someone so you don't feel so alone. I felt this way when I hit my first stall, which was only 2 weeks out. First, I had a sort of post partum depression feeling because I was SO excited for the surgery: and now Im at at stall! My husband helped me through it. I talked, I cried, I swore I regretted it. Now Im almost 2 months out and this was the best decision I ever made. Trust me, I read posts like this and swore these people were crazy haha. Now I know I love not being a slave to constantly eating huge servings of everything. I liberated myself from food. You will be here soon and you will be SO glad you did this. Just remember--have someone to talk to! Can't wait to see you on the losers side
  9. You never really know until you go in there. It is a journey that will bring about a lot of emotions. Talk to your psych if you're not feeling ready, anxious, or have questions that they may be able to put at ease for you.
  10. A good suggestion is to try to puree some foods like beef stew and chili (depending on your NUT's orders that is) to see if you'd like the consistency and taste during the pureed stage. Also be mindful not to buy protein in bulk because you may not like the way it tastes after surgery. It's weird but during the middle of week two the smell of my protein shakes made me sick to my stomach. You guys are going to do fantastic!
  11. I felt the EXACT same way and the morphine just made it worse, see if they can give you liquid lortab along with anti-nausea meds. The first few days are the worst and I was completely miserable, just sit back relax and breathe. We'll get thru this, welcome to the losers bench
  12. I gained my first two pounds because of Water retention. Remember to limit the sodium as well because that can make your body retain water! I was drinking lots of water and also had some Powerade Zero which has no sugar and is generally a good break from water but has a high amount of sodium. Also congrats on the loss
  13. YAY! This is the beginning of a wonderful journey! Enjoy being pampered and waited on!
  14. I was like that too, especially toward the end of my pureed stage. When I told my NUT that I literally pureed my meat and all else, she was surprised. She said most people admit that they just cook it really tender and chew well but it's a pureed stage for a reason. As a result she moved me up a half week earlier to soft foods than expected. What I did was ate a lot of tilapia (sp) fish (which since it is SO tender esp in how you make it) my NUT agreed that I wouldn't have to puree it; and eggs cooked really soft as well. Be creative [: Congrats on the sleeve and keep rocking it!!!
  15. after the first 7 days post op i had a similar diet plan to the one you're mentioning. I would try something different each day to see how my body would react to it. Obviously I favored some things more than others and stuck with that. If the surgeon okays it then try it and if your body doesn't respond well then take note of that. I wouldn't be afraid to try things, though, esp if your surgeon has suggested it. I had tuna about 10 days post op and fish and liquidy mashed potatoes. I agree you should try to venture and increase your caloric intake, as sometimes that will cause u to lose weight.

  17. Oh no! Hope all gets better! [:
  18. Sorry for the delay in response! The heaviest thing I ate was pureed chili or pureed beef stew but without the veggies. I did eat 1 scrambled egg in the morning a Protein shake for midday then a plain nonfat yogurt for lunch then a Protein Shake then pureed beef stew or chili. If I felt as if my stomach couldn't handle the beef stew or chili Id have refried Beans (stay away if gassiness is an issue). I pretty much stuck to the same foods for fear of having stomach pains lol. Also finely chopped tuna with olive oil to moisten it went well for me. Sounds like you're doing great, keep it up!
  19. Walk walk walk! Also remember your body had to lose weight from all of the air and junk they put in your body during surgery. Call your NUT and tell them what you're eating and about your slow loss ( al though I think you're doing ok) maybe they'll make a suggestion and alter your intake a little. Also remember to measure yourself! I hit a stall at 2-3 week mark and I noticed my clothes we're getting looser but I wasn't losing! Have a wonderful weekend and don't let the scale control you!
  20. I was on liquids for the first week then moved to mushy foods but they had to be very light and I had to slowly introduce things into my diet again. Maybe instead of a fried egg try a light scrambled egg. Listen to your sleeve! Maybe it's a little too much if it's spasming. Keep rocking the sleeve!
