Post-Op SEX
Hey Tiffy, I'm kinda worried about this too. Even at my highest weight I am only a C cup, and I know from past weight loss that my boobs tend to vanish before anything else! I guess there isn't any point worrying, I should probably try and get my head around it now in anticipation of it happening. Ericka, my post-op info sheet simply says "sexual activity may be resumed as soon as you feel up to it" :thumbup1:

Heartburn!
I've struggled with intense heartburn since day 1, but I was told it was gas. However I took some Gaviscon liquid and ooh look, it's gone! That stuff is awesome. Going to my GP for advice tomorrow though because I don't think practically living on the stuff can be very good for me! Hope you sort it out soon xx

Hard to Swallow Horse Pills
I haven't got any suggestions to help get them down, but perhaps chewable vitamins and calcium would be a better option for you right now? xx

Glad it all went well. Really pleased for you! I've only lost about 6lb since surgery, but that is enough to keep me going. I don't mind losing slow, as long as I lose and keep it off! Keep up the good work! xx

My own "What have I done?" moment has come.. please help
Hey sweetie. You may be pleased to hear that I've had a chat with my boyfriend and he has convinced me that I should wait another week before going back to work. I am only contracting there and it is the most enjoyable job I've ever had. They have indicated that there is a full time position for me and were due to make an official offer on my return to work. I didn't want to be off for too long in case it makes them change their mind, I really want this job and to make a good impression. But as my BF says, if they like me that much they will offer me the job anyway. They know I've had major surgery, and four extra days won't make that much difference to them, but it will make a huge difference to my recovery. So now I can relax knowing that I no longer have only 4 days left til I go back, I have 10. Hooray! xx

I do feel pretty silly about it. I don't mind you laughing! The funny thing is that I just woke up at 2am with pains in my calf and I was worrying the same thing! But tbh I've had leg pains in the night for a couple of years, think it's probably veinous insufficiency. What did your doc tell you to do for yours? xx

Finally feeling pretty good

Yeah I wondered what that was. I had this funny thought that maybe Mr Van den Bossche had rested his knee on my belly to give him some leverage when pulling my removed stomach out! Funny that you've got the same thing. I'd be interested to know what it is too.

Hey Deets, Not too bad. I was cleared for puree from day 2, so I've not had the liquid diet some of you guys have been talking about. I've been keeping it runny though, so creamed Soups, yoghurt, warmed up baby food with some stock added to make it more runny, mushed up weetabix with plenty of milk, that kinda thing. :scared0:

Mushies!!!!!
I bought one of those white fish with parsley sauce in a bag, and put that along with some mash potato, broccoli and cauliflower in the blender. Was kinda like fisherman's pie. YUM! x

Looks like we're in this one together Susieq! My op was 6 days ago now too, and I'm back to work Tuesday. Luckily they are understanding, but I am still nervous about how/if I will cope. I really hope it goes ok for you. Let me know how you get on Monday. Plus, just to add to the drama - tonight I had terrible chest pains. Similar to what I've had all along and the nurses were calling "gas", but it got so bad I ended up going to Accident and Emergency. Then the thought of a leak popped into my head and I started having panic attacks. So the nurses were flapping around me making me breathe through a bag thing and taking my blood pressure etc. Then a Doctor came to see me and started saying "I don't know why you had this surgery done, you aren't fat, and you're pretty! Why put yourself through all this?"..... That was NOT what I wanted to hear and just said "it's a long story, please just help me!" They did an X-Ray and all is ok, no leak and everything looks great. So it must just be either gas or indigestion. I swear I have never had pain like that, every breath in made me cry out in agony. So now I'm back home, and exhausted. :biggrin0:

My own "What have I done?" moment has come.. please help
Thank you SO much everyone. It means the world to me to have such a wonderful support network. I think the fact that as soon as my boyfriend got home last night I started moaning at him and crying about nothing hilighted the fact that I am just emotionally and physically exhausted and not in my right frame of mind. I know that with your help, and a little time, I will get back to where I should be. Love and hugs to all xxx

My own "What have I done?" moment has come.. please help
I have heard many people having buyers remorse just after their op, and people having the feeling "what have I done?" Up to now I hadn't experienced it, and didn't imagine I ever would. But all of a sudden I am overcome with fear and could really use some support. Before the operation I told myself that I would rather die than be so obsessed with food and weight all my life. The risk was worth it. Now I am not sure. What if something goes wrong with my sleeve? I am definitely not in the green zone yet, I'm only 5 days out. What if there are long term side effects which will negatively affect my health, which we don't know about yet. Why the hell wasn't I strong enough to deal with this problem naturally, and pull myself together? I am 26 and want a family. What if I never make it to that point because of the foolish and lazy choices I have made? What if something happens to me. My family are going to be distraught, I will have put them through pain and upset for my own selfish reasons. Because I couldn't get my act together. I just feel like a fool right now. And I am angry with myself. And terrified of the consequences. Please help me get through this. :crying:
