The only reason you can't do this is if you stop trying. You've got a very busy life with four young kids but they should be even more motivation for you to make the time to put your health first so you can be there for them in the long time.
Commit to yourself, commit to your family. You can do this.

Hey Missy, you held out with being polite for much longer than I could have! WTG.
This is a public forum and, as I have seen in your many posts, you do show genuine care and concern for other members. You did your best for this OP and her abusive response is sad. Don't take it personally and keep on sharing your success, experience and knowledge for the benefit of the rest of us.

Tonight is a fundraiser night for school - Barro's pizza night. I loooooove Barro's pizza. Until tonight. I ate a few bites and find it gross. To much sugary sauce, gooey cheese...just not my choice anymore. Maybe it's because I am still sick? But ew! I guess I'm a bit sad at the loss of something I once found delish, but on the other hand I CAN eat it I'm just choosing not to going forward I guess. Never thought pizza would be something I'd turn my nose up at.
Oh well! Who needs pizza anyway!?

Newsflash sweetheart- this is a forum. You're the one who put your business out on the internet for anyone and everyone to read and comment on. Don't like it? Then don't post it. Problem solved.
I have been nothing but respectful towards you and I initially wrote out of sincere concern for your well being However, your juvenile and downright ignorant attitude have made me reach a place of no longer caring what you do or what happens to you.
Just remember, ignorance isn't bliss. I'm sure you'll find that out soon enough, though.

Wow, that is totally uncalled for.
One, when you put your business online on a pubic forum, it's no longer just your business. You made your business everyone's business the minute you posted it here.
Two, telling people to "go to hell" and to "f**ck off" is not only juvenile but seriously ruins your credibility as a supposedly intelligent adult.
    Very uncool.

Wow, this thread has really struck a chord with me! Tomorrow I see my specialist to get the results of my biopsy so I can really empathise with the OP and others who have shared their stories. Thank you. It does help to know that we are not alone on these journeys.
Now, if I can just get good news, and the all clear to exercise again, I can start being the strong one for the rest of my family again!!
    Hang in there everyone

I started my LB journey because of the pain my body was going through, just trying to keep up with basic daily activities. Since being banded I have done very little exercising, due to said pain. The years of carrying around 100+ extra pounds has left me with bone on bone knee joints. Yes, taking off 100 lbs has help, but the damage was done. My weight also was beginning to stall b/c of my slow metabolism, I needed to start exercising.
10 days ago, I had a Lt total knee replacement ( Rt is scheduled for Sept 11) and I am so excited by just what I can now do with my physical therapist. 4hrs after surgery they expected me to just stand up and then sit in a chair. I was able to walk down to nurses station and back ( I had farthest room from ns). Yesterday
PT had me doing stair climbing, say what???? lol 10 days later I'm ready to get rid of my cane.
Hoping for the same results on the right knee (xray said that was my worse knee)
I am so excited about my new future! Thanks to the LBS for getting me there!
Weight goal here I come, one step at a time.

SageTracey got a reaction from Angelizz10 in who here has been banded for at least 2 years and has had NO complications?
I'm coming up two years and have had no issues with my band either. I guess it is just more common for people to post when they do have issues and are looking for input from others in a similar position than it is for those of us who are not having problems to post.

I had to have a day procedure for a biopsy today which meant sharing my full medical history with a cast of thousands at my local public hospital. I loved it when one of the surgeons, who I had never met before, asked me about the band and then said, "It works."
and the anaesthetic doctor also praised me for having my blood pressure and asthma well controlled.
Now I just need the biopsy results to come back negative!

Take it as a learning experience. Old habits die hard and sometimes it takes something like this to remind us to stick to our new eating patterns.

Your vacation will be miserable if you don't get this sorted out. I strongly encourage you to insist on seeing your dr today and telling him/her why you don't think you need an unfill. But remember, they are the experts and have almost certainly seen your situation before.
    Best of luck.
(I have vacation time booked from next week and am planning to go away with my husband, but we are looking to defer our departure date as I am waiting on test results - not related to band. So I can understand your concern.)

Talk to your doctor. It could be a band problem but it could be an unrelated issue, too. Whatever the case, it's not normal and needs to be looked at by your doctor.

SageTracey got a reaction from beanie80 in Port pain!! Help:( what could it be?
it doesn't sound normal to me. I didn't have port pain at three months' post-op and I haven't read of others experiencing gas pain at such a late stage.
I would be very happy to be proven wrong, but if you are experiencing pain then you need to contact your Dr sooner rather than later.

Thank you all for your replays and advise.
I thought I was going ok until last night I went to a family BBQ and I was fine for a few hours until more people turned up and I can only describe what happened as a voice in my head telling me what people where thinking about me. Making me more and more nervous and wanting the ground to swallow me up.
I didn't last too long after that before I had to go inside where I broke down crying.
Safe to say I'm going the doctors on Monday!! I can't cope like this and I can't let it get any worse. X

First of all, good luck and best wishes.
Secondly - I am not a doctor or anyway involved in the medical profession so my comments may be completely off track (even if well-intentioned). Have you or are you working on the underlying causes of your anxiety and alternate ways of dealing with stress rather than just treating the symptoms.
