Port pain!! Help:( what could it be?

I'm about 3 months out post op and for the last 3 days I've had the crappiest port pain

It's like an ache sensation:/ and everytime I walk or move a little it hurts however, sitting here it doesn't hurt. Ah I'm super concerned that it could be potentially a complication :(

Food is going down just as it should be! Just what could it be :(

Anyone experienced this? What was the outcome ?

Thanks guys !

Don't worry. It's normal. I had the same pains about a month or two after my surgery. I've read that it's actually gas/air pains that got trapped around the port while performing the surgery. It does go away. Nothing is wrong. If it keep going on after about a month or so, I would definitely check in with your band doctor.

it doesn't sound normal to me. I didn't have port pain at three months' post-op and I haven't read of others experiencing gas pain at such a late stage.

I would be very happy to be proven wrong, but if you are experiencing pain then you need to contact your Dr sooner rather than later.

Is the port area red or warm to the touch? If so, it could be an infection. Anything new... I'd speak it over with my surgeon, that's why my insurance company pays him the big bucks. Me, I get pain in my port area often. My surgeon and PCP checked it out. It's nothing medical. I think a nerve got caught in a stich. But this is MY normal. You've had something change. Get it checked.
