  1. Yes totally! After you finally get that approval time does almost stop...but then you forget and go on with your life and then all of a sudden your surgery is 3 days away (ah hem) and you are freaking out with how fast that happened! ((hugs)) It'll go faster than you think
  2. You do look really young in your avatar picture. I probably can't get away with 20's but I can get away with 30 instead of 38. Thanks for letting me know I'm not the only one with that thought!
  3. peppercma daviso AutumnBlueCarmen phardin carolina girl xplorurself July 30 cutie pie Anyone else freaking out a little yet? What is on the menu for you guys these last few days? What are you doing to stay busy and occupy your mind? Carmen
  4. I looked up on-line and the average stomach can hold 32 oz....but I'm sure mine is bigger..well at least before the pre op diet it was bigger!
  5. that is really horrible! Can you not blame it on PMS water weight (assuming you are female). OMG! That is just not fair! You already acceded their expectations. Call and fight back! I hope you can remedy this and get what you want/need! NOT RIGHT!!!!
  6. I haven't had my VSG surgery yet...but have had many surgeries. My advice is take it easy...even if you feel great don't do anything that the doc doesn't approve of. Say like vacuuming after a c-section because you feel all better at 3 weeks out. Take it easy....don't let yourself get over sore...use those pain meds. The worst pain after surgery I had was from becoming too tense because the doc would only give me ibuprofen. Lots of gentle walking to get that gas out. Sleep when you are sleepy! Good luck! I hope it is a breeze for you and for me on Friday! ((hugs))
  7. Hey all, For the most part I'm handling everything well. I'm keeping myself distracted but I really can't believe my surgery is this Friday. My biggest fear is that my cute angelic chubby cheek face will get saggy. I feel pretty silly thinking that...but it is a thought and I looked in the mirror this morning and had that common fear tingle all over my body. UGGGGG! I'm not worried about the surgery at all. I'm a surgery pro. Hubby was all worried last night that I would get skinny and hotter and leave him. I reassured him that he is the only man for me...but he is still afraid. :/ I'm freaking a little....but will be OK. I've been pleasantly plump my entire adult life. Since I put on the freshmen 30. I admit I am a little afraid of what being skinny will feel like and worry about the extra attention it will bring. In the past I have sabotaged myself because of all the attention. Have lost the same 30 lbs over an over and gained it back I didn't like the attention. Anyone else...need a buddy to help work through these similar thoughts as we start getting "skinny".
  8. I will love to hear that! I'm getting sleeved on Friday! It is almost here...I can't believe it. Good luck to you!
  9. It'll be a breeze! You'll hardly feel anything!
  10. So excited for you all! WOOT WOOT!!! I hope surgery is a breeze and no pain for you all!!!!!! ((hugs))
  11. So sorry this is happening to you! It will happen...just try to distract yourself! I know it is very hard to be patient! ((hugs))
  12. That is so GREAT!!!! Congratulations! I hope you continue to feel good. Just remember to take it slow....don't do too much even if you feel good. Don't want to pull something or bend a staple. Take it easy! I hope my surgery goes as smoothly on Friday! I can't wait to watch your ticker go down. ((hugs))
  13. Good luck today you guys! I hope you are all done and having a pain free recovery!! ((hugs)) Happy, healthy, healing vibes coming all ya'lls way!

  15. I go Friday and if I think about it too much....I freak out a little! But I'm also super excited about the future and losing weight for the last time! Kelli....hope your liquid diet is easy. It will be so worth it. I'm on a simi liquid diet since the 16th and it hasn't been too bad. I had about 4 days of withdrawl from soda but doing OK now. Good Luck everyone!
  16. They are taking off this Friday...so they can do a bunch next friday...including MEEEEEEEE!!!!!
  17. Uggggggg so sorry to hear about having to go back to the ER....That would make it hard to heal! Glad everything else is going well! Take care of yourself...can't wait to see all your updates!!!
  18. Gatoraid2 or Poweraid Zero will also help with your energy. My nut told me just yesterday that it was the best thing to make you feel better after being sleeved and she also told me to make beef stew to blend for the second week. That sounds so much better to me than a lot of other things. I hope this helps. Good luck to you! Sip sip sip!!!! ((hugs))
  19. Glad you are home and glad you DID wake up and also very glad you haven't had much pain! Time to heal and then ROCK THAT SLEEVE! ((hugs))
  20. Dee Dee, Thank you so much for your story. I'm happy to hear that you didn't have any problems with your surgery. I hope you continue on that road and don't have any pain.
  21. Definitely should have a discounted or free surgery for them to watch! SERIOUSLY!!! I'm glad you are doing mostly well and hope the trip home is or was easy on you. Good luck...can't wait to watch your progress! ((hugs))
  22. Hey everyone, I had my pre-op nut consultation yesterday. I spent 5 hours with my doctors wife and then at the hospital for testing. It was a nice quiet change from being with the kids and also met a man there who was going to have surgery on the same day. It was so nice to have sort of a camaraderie with him and someone to talk to. We both had previously signed up for lap band and changed our minds. Hopefully all my test will turn out OK. I know the EKG was good...but no word on the chest x-ray or blood work yet. Just going to assume that no news is good news. I'm so very excited. I've lost about 5 lbs pre op diet...but had gained 10 from pigging out the weeks before and my birthday cake and all the DRINKS! Anyway...I am almost into my final week count down. ♪♫♪♫ it's the final count down....da da da ta da!!!! ♪♫♪♫ OK...it is stuck in my head now...gotta share the pain or pleasure...whichever . ANYWAY!!!!! Sorry to be quiet over here....I'm trying my best to stay on top of my Psychology class work and even get ahead so I don't have to worry so much while I am recuperating. I'm so very excited about everything!!! Is it sad that I enjoyed being AT the hospital? LOL I'm thinking of you all and checking on you when I can! ((hugs)) to you all! Thank you so very much for being here for me....I love having all you wise people to turn to for answers and opinions! <3 Carmen
  23. Good Luck Bema and Cali Jenn! You are in my thoughts today! Sending you Healthy, healing, no pain vibes! ((hugs))
