I am home!!

I was sleeved on Tues. Everything went really well, except that they ended up bringing my husband up to recovery because they couldn't wake me up. This is typical for me, but I did wake up briefly and I was so nauseous and they gave me something and then couldn't wake me up again. I was really pretty much out of it until Wed. morning, when I forced myself to stay awake for a 1/2 hour show on t.v. They left me take a little sponge bath and gave me a toothbrush and toothpaste yesterday morning and that really helped. I think I walked the halls 3 times yesterday. I really have no pain except in the one incision that she took the stomach out of and she said she had to cut the muscle. They started bringing me a tray of liquids yesterday morning. I don't know how they ever expected me to drink all of that stuff. I had my i.v. fluids until right before I left the hospital today, so I've been struggling to drink a lot today, but I am trying to make an effort. My mom made chicken soup for my family for dinner and I had some broth. Then my husband and kids and I walked around our property. I could only walk around once, but it is so hot outside. I am doing pretty good and I look forward to feeling better over the next week or so. Now, if I could only keep my kids off my chair.
