I am so jealous of you. I want to be that close! Go look at the before and after pics. That is what I do when I start to feel guilty about spending the money on myself. I look through that thread and I know I am doing the right thing! Is there anyone who has said negative comments about your weight before? If so think of them and hang tuff, and most importantly think of your new healthy, happy life that is just around the corner. Here is a story about a lady I work with that is why i said that comment about anyone saying anything about your weight. I walk a few times a week at lunch with this gal, she is the type of person that is always talking about someone else, she is never happy, and she knows everything. Anyway the other day she came into my office to wait for me to put my tennis shoes on and saw a picture that I have hanging on my bulletin board it was of me and my two bosses on my 30th birthday... 8 years ago. Good grief! Well she said was that picture taken when you were taking all those diet pills? I said what? When, and no it was not. She then said well that does not even look like you anymore. I was like ok, thanks. I mean what do you say to that? What a hag. So I decided that when I start losing I am going to give all my larger size cloths to her:heh: . How do you think she will feel then? Mean isn't it, but I have too, she always has something rude to say. Sweet victory will be mine! :welldoneclap: Anyway hang in there!
4. That makes me sad. Your right is sounds so wonderful. Maybe their life together was just as wonderful and towards the end he feared being alone. I hate to make excuses for him. Maybe he was a cheater all along and she stayed with him, like so many women do, for the security.
5. I hope she takes him for every dime he's got and he ends up homeless, under a bridge. ***************************************** Me too! What a friggin jerk! Was the "caregiver" quite a bit younger?
6. Four days after the "funeral", Mr P proposed to the live-in GF/"caregiver". *************************************** Oh that makes me MAD:angry ! Can you imagine. Anyway did Mr. P hire that nurse? I am just wondering if the affair was started before she was the nurse or after! Did Mrs. P know about the affair?

It is her neck. She really does not have one. I also think it is a shame how she never came forward as so many other celebrities have done. Why support her when she did not support us? By keeping it a secret she is basically telling the overweight community she is ashamed of how she saved herself. That is how I see it. Funny how one question about her started all this ruckus! <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
8. the jumpstart phase works, as I've already lost 28lbs, but it did not work after I had my son. I hve the diet guiedlines somewhere, I'll grab them and post it if you would like. I would not pay the money, they require you to eat a ton of food - healthy food - but a lot, so i don't think you could do it after the band. But a good guideline I guess. **************** Jenn, Yes, please post for me if you find it. What about all the supplements? Aren't there bars and drinks you have to have? What is the jumpstart phase? Maybe I could start on that. It makes me laugh that you said "they require you to eat a ton of food, and we can't eat that with the band" <---- I can not wait for that day:clap2: ! When I went to Metabolic I thought I would starve to death at first:angry !

It was like reading a novel. I would come to work and any free time I have, I am on this webpage reading the next post and the next bit of advice... I am addicted to you and Tina! Your love affair reminds me of the movie The Notebook. Has anyone seen that movie? It is my favorite. Anyway, I have read these posts for three days and have not posted because I HAD to see how it turned out. Like all the other folks posting you have really been in my thoughts. You have a lot of people out here in cyberland pulling for you and for Tina. :clap2: Now that we have completed one hurdle on your journey, (Tina home and happy) you need to keep us all posted on the others. Full o' kooks who are spaced out a bit due to lack of nourishment! Hi there! I love it here. I am originally from CA but only go back a couple times a year to see family. I do miss the year round warm weather of CA. I'd love to live at the Broadmoor as well!! But going to eat at the hotel from time to time is ok with me. You must have spent some time here to know all about the Springs? I live right outside the Springs (out East) in a town called Falcon. We have three horses and needed property so we moved out there. Now everyone is moving out there. We are expecting to get 8000 soldiers relocating from Ft Hood before June. That is fine with me... go property value!
12. Alex, Are you saying that you are only eating yogurt and cottage cheese? That you have to do this for two-weeks? OMG!! I could not handle that. You are doing great if you are on day 6. Geez how much weight have you lost? i would have to be like that lady who chained herself to her radiator to quit smoking. I think you are doing great. I only have a week of a pre-op diet (bless my Dr.) and it is mainly high protein and low carb. Angie
13. Gosh... now i am feeling bad. Your right. The surgery did save her life and that is what I am always saying... WLS is wonderful... is can save your life!

15. Tracy, I am an April Bandster. Thanks for starting this thread! I am counting down the days, hours, minutes until my surgery! Surgery is scheduled April 18, Yippee!! Please add me to the 'list'! Angie
16. Puddin, One more thing, reference the tummy tuck. Did you do that self pay? How much was it? Did you have your thighs done as well? They also look thinner in the after pic. Thanks... Angie
17. Puddin! You look GREAT!! I found your link http://www.flickr.com/photos/puddinpie/413377762/in/set-72057594129356316/ you are an inspiration!! The new man is HOT@! Oh yeah I also saw you are 28 so disregard everything I said before. =)
18. I agree. I really hate to say that I liked her better before. I dont even think she looks that great! Well her body looks great, but her head looks to big now or something.
19. Hello Puddin! How old are you? I was actually looking at the before and after pics and came across yours and then saw your ticker which said you were in a size six and wanted to your updated photos... and then I was led to this post. I have a daughter who is 19 and she sounds a bit like you. I can not give you any advice only some things to think about. I understand that now you have this beautiful body and you like all the attention you are getting. Of course, who wouldn't!! I say I have a daughter who is 19 -- most people see me and find that unbelievable. Not only am I short 5' I look pretty young, and so does she, she is often mistaken for a 15 year old (poor thing). Anyway, I was 18 when I got pregnant with her and it was a very hard struggle for her and I. I had no idea how to be a mother and no real means to support her at that age. I gave up all my years of youth to be a mother. I do not regret it... just understand she was not planned. Here I am 38 and living some of the dreams I had when I was 18-- like going to college. I have been going for three years now and know it had to of been easier to go when I was 18!! Wanting to be desired is one thing but to be promiscuous is another. Just some things to think about and I am sure you have already been lectured enough. So... post some pics so I can see the new you and be inspired. I am not yet banded but am counting down the days!
20. The only thing I ever heard about Star was that on Larry King Live, she announced that she had weight-loss surgery for medical reasons. She made it clear that her decision was personal and that in no way did she mislead viewers to thinking she lost weight through eating healthfully and exercising regularly. Hmmm

24. Hi everyone... I am still preband! I want to be banded so dang bad! Well anyway I am scheduled with Dr Ortiz on April 2, but then i was reading on these great posts about a Dr in Denver who only charges a tab bit more (self-pay). So I scheduled a consultation with him for March 20... I wish that day would hurry up and get here! Brenda, Did you gain weight back after you were banded? Is that possible? I thought that once we reached goal weight that our band was adjusted and that is where we stay to maintain? I am so afraid that I am going to do this and gain weight back or worse not lose! Help!!
