  1. Good luck Renee! See you on the other side!
  2. Judy, I love your charms~ I still dont have my charm braclet yet which is ok because I have not lost enough weight to even get one charm on it yet! But I will -- hopefully with my first fill! I did tell the waitress about the glass after my DH had already paid! He paid the bill and got a to go box why I was going back and forth to the restroom. I wish I could have complained right off, but the chicken was so stuck from sliming or whatever I really could not even talk. My DH didnt even try the Water until I asked him too because he just thought i was sick from the chicken wing! Anyway the waitress SAID she would talk to the bartender but you know how that goes!
  3. Hi Girls & fellows! I have to tell you what happened to me this weekend. It was NOT good! My husband and I went out to Old Chicago’s for dinner we got some chicken wings and Italian Nachos to split. I got ice water to drink. My husband ordered it from the bar because he was getting a beer.... anyway when they gave us our drinks our table was ready so we sat down. I took a drink of my water and it tasted gross! So I took a bite of a chicken wing to get that taste out of my mouth. Big mistake. I was PBing and sliming so bad that I could not even make it to the bathroom. Lucky me that they had given us a bunch of napkins for the wings -- I was sliming in. I finally got to the bathroom and just stood there for about 15 minutes spitting up like slime (sorry about the TMI). When I made it back to the table it started again. I realized when I sat down it was much worse. My DH can be so insensitive he told me I was grossing him out, by spitting or sort of vomiting into the napkin. I could not even talk to get on to him! :angry Lucky him. Anyway when my tummy finally calmed down I asked DH to taste my water… and he did (ha ha on him that is what he gets!). He said it was definitely the water! We figured that it was never really washed it went through the sanitizer stage, and then she picked it up and added the ice water! Let me tell you, if that is PBing and sliming I hope it never happens again. I think I had it so bad because of the sanitizer mixed with the chicken wing. Imagine not even being able to yell at DH! :waytogo: It turned out ok in the end. We walked a little after we left there, to the movies and I felt a whole lot better. Just a warning...

Did it feel weird to eat, I mean in your tummy? No. Comparing it to the restriction I had immediately post-op (swelling?) this was not as restrictive. It was a good kind....no golf balls in the throat or pain of any kind. But then again, it WAS soft food. 3. How big is a quiche thingy...I don't know? When I recorded my food for the day I figured it was about 1 egg, 1 oz steamed spinach, 1/2 oz of cheese. 1/2 c tomato basil soup. 4. Did the barium flow right through? no, it kinda dribbled thru...but fairly quickly. 5. If so, is that enough restriction? I guess we'll see?! 6. The water, did you feel that above the band? Maybe for a second. I drank normally, though...didn't take baby sips or anything. 7. Have you eaten again? Yes, just had some cottage cheese and 1/2 banana. No problems. 8. 1.5 cc...what size is your band?I'm pretty sure it's 4cc. 9. So many more! Terry & Kity! Thanks so much. I was wondering about all the same questions. .
  5. Hi Lauralee, My Dr said that I could progress when I felt ready. To use common sense. I started eating mushies on about day 3 post op. I had surgery 4/18~ Good luck! <!-- / message -->
  6. I am also getting ready to leave for the day! Lunasa-- I AM CRACKING UP! That is too funny. Keep your feet up dont let that little creature get you! Have a great weekend everyone and try hard not to CHEAT! I know I will.

  9. Tracy your crazy!! That is funny. That is what Sunnysea did to me in the Drs office. I am more the quiet type _ she comes in the office sits down and looks around and says any one here have the band? Well I said not yet... as that was my pre-op appointment but we started talking and she mentioned this site..... and I was like wow I LOVE that site I go on most days! It was funny because there were a few people in there and she was spreading the good news like you! She says she has the "gift of gab" I guess you do too! Wish I did!
  10. Jennifur, I liked your post. It was soooo true! It made me laugh:D ! Anyway, what are you eating? :hungry: Can you give me a sample of what you have for breakfast, lunch and dinner? I was banded on 4/18 and am only (<-- yeah as if!) down 10lbs I feel like I am falling behind? I have been at a stand still for a week now not losing and not gaining. I have been happy that i am not gaining but I still want to catch-up!

I was worried as well since that seems to be the only pain I have! Last night i took a laxative and the pain is now gone. Yippee. You may want to give it a try!
  21. Jennifur, Good job on the inches! i wanted to start working out with my weights as well but I didnt know when we could? All I remember is them telling me not to lift anything heavy but not sure for how long? I am feeling great but dont want to hurt anything on the inside! What are you eating during the day? I was losing a pound a day since surgery but since mushies I have been stuck. I am just happy I am not gaining but would love to keep losing. Let me know what you are doing. =)
  22. TracyinKS, That is so true and funny "I didn't even know I LIKED sex til I got divorced! and now the tides have turned........" that is exactly how i feel. I hated sex with the exhusband but then i got divorced and a whole new world opened up... well now i am remarried, (I had my one year anniversary in Feb) I am always telling my DH that he was like a fulse advertisement! We had pleanty before... and now.... it is about once a week. That is not good for only being married a year. Can you imagine in five years what my sex life will be! Good grief!
  23. Sunshine2 -- Yippee for you! That makes me so happy for you!
  24. I agree with being cautious although I did the same thing and ate a piece of cheese pizza. Circumstances were I had no power in my house for two days due to a blizzard and didnt want cold soup so I opted for the cold pizza. Anyway, I had no problem as well. My Dr had told me that the post op instructions were a "guide" and to use common sense. When I feel ready move on... those were his exact words. Now I am not saying to move on or not... just what my Dr told me. I am not going forward with solids yet as I still feel I need to be on mushies and the pizza was a one time deal!
