Now at the hospital. I weighed in at 115 kgs Hmmmm that is just over 250, I guess my last meal put on a few LOL! No worries. It took me 3 hours to get into a room. First I was to be admitted to the surgery ward, then they told me no, go to the hospital hotel, and finally they put me in my OWN room on the surgery ward. AWESOME. Probably won't last, but at least tonight...the most important night, I am alone to reflect and relax.
Up early, I am told I go to the operating room at 7:20am and the operation is about 7:45. Cool, soon it is done and I can move on to a lesser me. =D

I have never had to experience a CPAP machine. My dad uses one. I hopeyou can soon be rid of it soon!

It is quite interesting. I look in the mirror now and try to picture myself thinner...after a year post op, and I wonder if I will look at it then and wonder what I looked like fat. I hope all goes well for you on this trip DeeDee. You look great now, do not let anyone tell you different =) Hugs if ya need them!

This is awesome news! I am so glad that it is happening so fast!

Thanks DeeDee and Erika. It is hard to wait. I am like a kid at Christmas running through the house trying to find my presents early and peek. Good luck on a date, Erika, sooner the better =)

Sounds like you have been bit by the hibernation bug. I truly believe that is why people gain so much in the winter. You, from what I have read, have done extremely well. Gather yourself and refocus...well sounds like you are doing just that. Deep breath and get back up. Remember "mama said there would be days like this" =)

This is awesome to hear and to see someone else getting the mental and physical preparation in swing. I am also working on pre-op habits and am going to buy get some protein samples this week. Can I ask you the name of the protein mix you found?? I would like to see if they have it here in Norway. I have tried to eat in 30 mins and found it easier than I thought. It is hard, however, to see the family up and leave the table before me hehe. I have been sick with the stomach flu this past weekend and realized as I was sipping broth, and slowly nursing a queezy stomach, that it may be exactly how I feel the first week after surgery...interesting =)

Oh DeeDee,
Hearing your story is soooo comforting. Just when I begin to start wondering about this (I will have it either way) I hear someone talk about their journey and I LOVE IT!!! I want to again say thanks and ROCK OFF that extra pound, girl!! GO GOAL GO!!

Barbara,
So good to hear you are on the mend. I am sure the mushies will taste a bit like heaven. My mother's side (mom, grandman, aunts) all have diabetes, and me and my brother too. I am sure everyone goes through the same thoughts you have. I am sure I will too. =)
Prayers for a blod clot free bod and healthy LONG future.

Good job, I am doing the same myself. I am trying pureed foods, working out, etc I want my head and heart in this fully! But I have decided for the surgery and months of waiting will not deter me. =) Good luck with everything.

I am going to this Tiff! It describes exactly what I will probably feel and the end were good words to live by. Thanks so much for your comment!! I will post a blog to say what the doctor had to say.

Phatmanwalking' date='The Wii is a gaming system from Nintendo. The Wii fit is a game that goes with it. You can do all types of fun activities on it to burn calories and stay in shape. It has this thing you stand on that takes your weight and stats. It is fun. The kids like it, my husband likes it.... a fun family activity when you live somewhere very snowy! [/quote']
Thanks so much!!! I may invest into one. It is the middle of winter here in Norway and I am very much SURROUNDED by snow atm LOL! It would be a nice change from other routine stuff.

Awesome to hear you are doing so well. Maybe you can help ME. A couple people have talked about this Wii Fit...what is it? Is it a scale or is it the game? Please, educate me. =)

Welcome to the forum PtoS. Gratz on your date. I am still learning about the diet prior to surgery myself. I have seen a few different ones...it has been based a lot on your doctors wishes for you - some are conservative and some are aggressive. Good luck on your research, diet, and surgery...the people here are fantastic and very supportive.

I wish you well and hope you have the results I have had. Nerves are part of it but trust me, once those leave your system, you will be good to go! This is the right place to get all the good information. Keep us informed!
