  1. Hi Ukgrad89, Please do not pull the bandages if they are the strips covering the stitches let them fall off by them self that is what my Dr told me. Letting them fall off by then self will let the skin heal, Stay well. Mary
  2. Hello Mason, I had my op on Mon July 25th . The day after the op I was to drink 6 table spoons of Water in 15 mins, I could only drink 2 tea spoons all day, I was able to go home. Later when home I slept still not drinking more then 22 spoons of water. Each time I would try I would burp I guess from the gas. I have only used 3 pain kills since Wednesday not bad. Had my first Gas X today. Let me tell you the first bowel movement you have will make you feel better. The first bowel movement might look like stomach bile as mine did (kind of freaked me out). What ever you do try not to push. As for protein drinks could do them before the op but not now as they make me want to toss my Cookies...lol. Best of luck to you. Mary
  3. Hi, I have to say I had my op on the 25th. Was not able to drink a lot or feel like eating. But today I got 1/4 cup of tuna fine chopped. It took me all day to eat that and I ate it with a baby soon. I have to say eating with a baby soon has really helped. If your not sure ask your Dr. They will let you know what to do. BUT Do not over do it!! You have come this far baby steps (that's what I tell myself) Best of luck to you. Stay well stay happy. Mary

  5. Hi Witcy, I was just saying this today myself. I had my op on July 25th. I find it hard to drink much let alone eat. I am sipping water. I found that a cup of tea or coffee helped me drink. I think it was because it woke up my taste buds. Do not push yourself if you feel that you can not handle food. But Please Drink Something. I would call the Dr as that is what they are there for. Let me know how you are doing. Stay well stay safe AND DRINK! Mary

  7. Hello, May I ask if you remember what it felt like and if so could you please tell me. I had my op on the 25th of this month. I was sitting on the couch and went to get up and felt what felt like a wiggle on my left side. I then felt my tummy on the left side and it felt as if something was sticking up on its side in the tummy. I must say everything freaks me out as I do not want to mess anything up. Thank you for any help. Stay well stay happy. Mary
  8. I just want to say thank you so much for this post. It is so nice to know that one can still go out and eat with friends and not just eat Soup. Mary
  9. Hi, You are not being a b***h at all. I had the same problem but with my GP's office. They never sent the paper work each time I called, I had enough of this as it was holding up my op, So I called my Dr and spoke with him myself and he lit a fire under the people in his office butts. I would say call and speak with the Dr, and let them know what is going on. Best of luck to you. Mary
  10. I know what you mean. I had a op about 23 years ago in Chicago I had a great Dr. But one of his nurses was so rude to me as I was having my op under general anistsa (sorry can't spell that word) .I told the Dr that she made me very uneasy and that I would like to have her removed And he did remove her that is why he is such a good Dr and one that I feel I can trust. Mary

  21. Hi Chris, I'm not sure so I'm going to stick to clear's like water coffee soup jello and look over my paper work on what to eat. I have been told nothing after 11pm not even water. Think I will get up early and then go to sleep around 10pm. Did they tell you to make sure that you wash your belly button out funny but true. I too will out for you. As I am on a CPAP machine they will keep me over night. Most of the Dr's G's patient's were told that they would stay over night. Not all of us were on a CPAP machine. May god watch over you as well my friend. Mary
