lap band pain

Hi all,

I just had my lap band yesterday and I am now home. I do have some pain and I have this very dark brown and white flem ball's coming up when I cough. Did anyone have his. I have only been able to keep 5 tsp of water down did anyone have this problem as well?

    It is normal to cough and bring up stuff from your lungs after having anesthesia. I dont know about dark brown phlegm balls. I would call my doctor on that one.

    Hi Mary: I've had some phlem also....especially after I do the breathing exercises. I guess it breaks it up. Hate this liquid stage of the diet. Getting nausea from so many drinks. I can only get down 2 protein drinks a day so far. It's so hard to get all the liquid in. Even the water is tough to swallow. Hope it gets better soon. Hubby just went out to get some tums, lemonade and lentil soup for tomorrow. It said we can have that. Hope you are feeling better. CAT
