  1. Hello to all, I am drinking Bolthouse Farms Protein Drinks. These are the only ones I can keep down most at 19 grams of protein a bottle to 30 a bottle. The bottles are 15.2 fl.oz. Please let me know if anyone has used these and what you think of them. If you know of any others that are nice tasting please let me know. I do not like sweet tasting drinks as in over sweet. Thank you all. Mary
  2. You look great keep up the good work.
  3. Hi, I have Aetna and all they needed from me was a six month diet history. I have very mild sleep apnea and some leg pain. My GP was very helpful in writing a letter just in case I needed it as back up for the op. Please Please Check your Aetna Plan and Call Them!! Sometimes things change and insurance covers Lap Band but they forget to tell us as mine did. I read and called and did all the paper work and thank goodness they did cover it once I paid my deduct . I did how ever need to use a hospital of excellence in order to use Aetna. I wish you best of luck and hope you get your wish. Stay well. Mary

  12. Funny thing happened the other day. I went to my pre op meeting and got on the scale to find out I had lost 16 pounds in a month. The person taking my weight said you do not look that big and went to reread the BMI chart to see if I was still in the danger zone. LOL just made it by two points. Anyone ever have this happen to them? I think the stress of getting the op was getting to me that is why the weight loss. I am so looking forward to my op and weight loss. Stay well and be safe all. Mary

  14. Thank you I know what you mean. My girls and sisters are like that and it drives me crazy. One sister is a vegan and I never tell her how to eat or that it is a poor choice to be a vegan. I just let her get on with it as it is her choice, I think this is why I like this room so much.
  15. Thank you, Think it is time for me to tell them thank you but I think I can do this myself. Sounds good but think I might be afraid if I fall on my face. Thank you so much for your feed back. Stay well.
  16. Thank you. I find it hard to say things. I'm one of those people that will bite a whole in the inside of my cheek before saying anything. Think it is time I say something.

  18. Please you are not stupid. This is the room to learn things that you need to know. The 6 week program is a diet or should I say a way to learn to eat right.
  19. Sorry guy's I need to vent,I am do to have my op on July 25th . I have told a few people that I work with that I am going to get the band. Now they are all the food POLICE!! They tell me what I can and cannot have. Funny how they think they know more then me. I had a coffee with no sugar some low fat cheese and low fat dressing and greens. Funny how when I had not told them about the Lap Band they would try to feed me all the time. Lol they all said to me that I do not look big and that I was crazy to get the op. What gives?? Sorry just had to vent.

  22. I was thinking the same thing about the Aspergers. I have a brother that has it and his social skills are lacking no fault to his own. Nice guy but just does not qute know how to interact with others. On the flip side well done on the weight loss.
  23. Hello Jonathan, Nice to hear you are well. I will be getting my op with Dr Geiss on July 25th. I have been told that some people the first month or two do not loose weight as they are still healing and getting use to the band. I was told ahead of time to take things slow once banded and do not rush the stages. Hang in there best of luck to you all will go well. Mary
