  1. I bought one of each of those to try out. The Dark chocolate is actually pretty good.
  2. Most of my friends who have had the procedure do not see the surgeon again unless having problems. The PA's do a great job.
  3. I am covered for 3 months of fills/appts post-op, but then I will pay $175 for a year of follow up appts.
  4. I did my "Last Supper" on Sunday. I wouldn't chance anything. Tell your friend that you need her support rather than a big meal right now
  5. Good luck!! Can't wait for your recap. I am doing pre-op tomorrow so I will be thinking about you
  6. I haven't met with him once. I have pre-op tomorrow and surgery on Friday. I met his partner at the seminar. I am also insurance, but his office doesn't do office visits/consults until you have all of your pre-requisites done.
  7. I am not required to do the liquid diet but chose to start today on my own (surgery is Friday) and oh. my. gosh. I am really struggling now. I know it will be better with restriction but wow. I feel your pain!!
  8. Try different classes and activities as well! The more fun, the more it doesn't feel like exercise
  9. Oh no, I am so sorry! I will be praying for you for sure.
  10. I have seen a lot on here about Muscle Milk Light but I want to just check with others to see if there are any additional suggestions. I want to get my order in today to have it before surgery next week.
  11. The people I know who have been were. I expect to as well.
  12. A beautiful, black formal dress....which is 10 sizes smaller than what I wear now. I can't wait to be able to wear it!! Anyone else buy a goal outfit?
  13. They will usually give you soap at your pre-op to use the night before/morning of surgery. Good luck!!
  14. Now I got it....have to click on the blog tab
  15. I think I am missing something. I don't see anything on their site about a free sample.
  16. I have a client who is a stylist and when I told her I was having surgery she advised me to buy a boar's hair brush and start using it (I can't remember the particulars of it...cost about $60). Told me to flip my head upside-down and let the blood rush to it, then brush at the roots for about 10 min or so. She has several clients who have had WLS and the one who actually used it had the least amount of hair loss following. It is worth a shot!
  17. It was 2 business days for approval. They submitted it on Thursday and I was approved yesterday.
  18. My doctor has said that Tricare is one of the best ins companies to deal with (so long as you meet the requirements) and I am so blessed to have the opportunity I do. Thank you everyone and good luck to you as well!
  19. I was called by my Triwest nurse/liaison and she informed me she approved me today...so it is definitely going to happen!! AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited!!!! I am also in shock at how fast it is happening. It will be 2 months start to finish...and Tricare approved me in 2 business days! I can't wait to be a Bandster!!
  20. Thank you everyone! I think she realized she upset me and has been trying to make up for it the past couple of days. I appreciate your reinforcement and wish you all luck as well!!
  21. Congrats!! I am Tricare as well and all of my surgical clearance was done through my PCM on base. Did the labs, chest xray and ekg on the same morning and was cleared a week later. I have surgery scheduled for May 27th!
  22. Oh, it is not going to change my mind...I am ready! It is just disappointing when people you care about aren't supportive. I am ready for the change!
  23. I have not told a bunch of people that I am having surgery just because I don't care about how they feel about it. It is my decision and my family is supportive of me. I have a couple of friends who had gastric bypass and sleeve and of course they know. I decided to tell my best friend (BFF's for almost 30 yrs) and she told me she has mixed feelings about it. It seems like she is trying to talk me out of it because "she knows someone who had this" and had this problem and that problem. I guess I'm just scared that it could affect our friendship...and who knows how many others. Anyone else had this happen?
  24. Good luck to you too!!
