  1. Your post made me feel so happy! I think you are going to be such a beautiful bride! :lol0:
  2. Deedee - since we are in the same area - you may also want to try Diet-to-Go. Their food is not bad and I think you can order just a few meals per week. They usually change their menu weekly and have choices that are also always there to pick from. They have low-carb options too. I heard there was a great place in Silver Spring...it was called dream dinners. Actually, looks like they have a bunch of locations: Locations HTH
  3. I can't try any right now (8 days post-op) but I have been researching. I am really looking for all natural. The two I want to try the most are Oh Yeah Natural and the high-Protein version of organic food bar: Our Amazingly Healthy, Outrageously Good ORGANIC FOOD BARS Before surgery I loved loved Larabar and things like that. I am hoping to find an all natural but high in protein replacement.
  4. Hey there sleeve sister - I think you have to wait and see where you end up. Mine are already much smaller. Hello! I wanted my post-baby stomach to go first!! My body never listens to me.
  5. Congratulations! I was the same way, I really enjoyed the break. I love my baby and my husband, but it was nice to just be out of it for a few days. :scared0:
  6. Haha, no - simply sleep is what is in Tylenol PM but minus the Tylenol. It is not an all natural thing. I am a born insomniac but usually rely on different methods to put myself to sleep. I am hungry now though and it is so distracting that I am having a tougher time sleeping. What I usually do - no bright lights, tv, or computer 1 hour before bed. I read myself down to sleep and can usually drift off fine. It just isn't working this week.
  7. Oh, and I am so happy for you Judy. I know how hard you worked on your BP and how excited you have been!!
  8. Some "simply sleep" pills or something similar. I am 5 days out and having trouble sleeping and have to go get some of those today... I am in no pain, just a bit hungry and really need to sleep!
  9. Hi and welcome! I was just sleeved 5 days ago. I have had a lot of issues with the protein powders...someone suggested Sun Warrior. I emailed them and they sent me a free sample. It's brown rice protein - completely vegan. I'm trying it now - it's kinda gritty but it's not making me dry heave like the whey does. 25g protein.
  10. Hi again -- I have a weird question about "thin liquids" - why isn't milk on the list? I am literally gagging on the Protein and tried to put it into Jello, overwhelm it with crystal lite, etc. It is just gross! I think I could handle drinking some milk (8g protein per cup) but it isn't allowed? arg. I am frustrated. Has anyone tried this: [ame=http://www.amazon.com/Amino-Fuel-Liquid-Concentrate-fl-oz/dp/B00012NK2C/ref=pd_sim_hpc_2]Amazon.com: Amino Fuel 1000 Mass Liquid Concentrate 32 fl.oz: Health & Personal Care[/ame] Not sure if it clear or not but it is only 3 tbsps

This stuff - Evening Primrose Oil - Helps PMS. I took it during my pregnancy also. PMS - Evening Primrose Oil helps PMS - health news; highly effective natural nutritional remedies for many diseases I haven't taken it since but I am thinking of starting again. HTH
  12. Newmom here - definitely getting better each day! Yesterday was a relief and today I am just happy to be out of the hospital and amongst people. The food smells in the airport are getting to me a bit, but I also remember reading about that with someone else so I have hooked up my laptop near the wall and I'm just surfing. I really can't wait to get home and get started on this new life!!! Joon is such a nurturing person, I wish you all had a Joon to travel with.
  13. Hi! Just wanted to say I am more stable today. Joon told me all about your encouraging words and it just helped me so much. What really helped also were the times I had read on here about day 2 being terrible. I just kept hoping that was true. I feel much better today although not 100%. Joon is in fantastic shape! I don't know what I would have done without her, I am so glad we found each other on this board. Anyway...more later. -newmom
  14. Very good to know! Thanks! I'm packed and leave in the am. Can't wait to be back home with my little baby, though. See you there Joon.
  15. I am sooooooooo nervous. I just went and got my cashier's check, however. My nerves around the surgery are one thing, but I am also worried about my husband and baby here alone! And I am still freaking about that stupid meeting I have to go to 10 days after surgery. I'm really afraid I'll have a super embarrassing moment during it! :sad0: I feel so overwhelmed. I am constantly wishing that it would be this time next week. But I know it will be over with soon enough, right?
  16. So I tried it last night and still gagged a bit on that Protein powder smell, but mostly it smells like vanilla. However, it doesn't seem to mix clear so I can't use it for the clears phase. So clears - Beneprotein After that - AnyWhey I also had to laugh. The Beneprotein has a tiny scoop and 7g of protein. I was so excited that the AnyWhey was 17g per scoop. Then I saw the scoop! It is HUGE! Same as 2.5 scoops of the other...so oh well. I also got a free sample of the sun warrior in the mail yesterday, but I am saving that for after surgery. It is brown rice vegan powder and it is chocolate flavored. I sent them an email and they were nice enough to send a free sample. Moral of the story -- if you have a shellfish or any other type of allergy, email the manufacturer before you try any powders! Thanks for all the help, everyone.
  17. Feel better! My husband had pancreatitis once and it was awful.
  18. Ok, so I am going to admit failure here! I have surgery Monday and my mind has just been swimming with a million things. I will send the stuff but it may take me awhile...sorry Vegas and Oregon. I am excited -- today I am going to go get some "Any Whey" which lives up to my needs, at least on paper.
  19. Can I ask -- does Imodium work? I just found out I have a big meeting at work 10 days after surgery! I'm freaked.
  20. I have that too and there are these boots that they make that keep your feet in a bent shape while you sleep. They really helped me a lot, but they are a pain to sleep in!
  21. Thanks...do you know if they sell samples of Juice Plus+ Complete?
  22. Shop It To Me: Better than Sample Sales -- Free personal shopper for sales on clothing and accessories Put in your current size and they send you sale items from chosen stores in email. It's really great.
  23. Thanks Bewitched! I sent them an email asking about samples.
