So, I fought emotional eating tonight. I auditioned for something and didn't get picked and it just so happened I was at the store when I found out. So, there I am standing in the store wanting to eat Crappy comfort food. I reached out and was 90% talked off my emotional response. I had such anxiety about it. Breath breath get out of the candy aisle. Ended up with animal Cookies, but considering what I was originally going to devour I at least feel like I attempted to acknowledge the behavior maybe next time I will resist buying anything at all. Emo eating 1 me 0!

I get shoulder pain too - the same spot where I felt gas pain up in my left shoulder area. I have discovered it's air stuck in the lower part of my stomach, under the band (and often under whatever food is going through the band). I find if I lean forward, I usually do a little burp and the shoulder pain is instantly relieved.

I got a fill just over a week ago, and that was the first time I've felt restriction since the surgery. This feels like what I thought it would feel like to have a lapband.

That's fantastic about the wet suit. I know you were thrilled. Congratulations on that NSV. When we were getting certified many years ago they had to put so many weights on me when I wore a wet suit or I could not go down unless they did. All my fluff and then the wet suit made me float like a bar of ivory soap! LOL
    Merry Christmas!

    Howdy everyone!
The weight is finally "falling off" for me, so I guess I'm in the "green zone" and if I can just remember to not START eating till I'm hungry, I should be good for a while!
I had a major NSV yesterday. I scuba dive, and last time I went was in January. I had to hire a men's XL wetsuit and wear a L vest...
So DH and I went diving yesterday, and I tried on and rented a M/L - I thought it was a men's size, but it was actually a WOMEN'S M/L. WOAH!!! It was sooooo tight, but there was no way I was going to swap it for a larger size once I got it on!!! Oh, and the vest was an M!

Yeah, I'm definitely not going to buy any fancy or expensive clothes until I'm at my goal weight. But I have now got some $8 jeans and $6 shirts from Kmart that fit, and I feel great!

"Aww, you would really do that to yourself, just to get to me?" - ultimately your coworker might realise that sabotaging THEMSELF actually has no bearing on your decisions or your weight loss.

    Hi Stacey,
I'm the same as you - I prefer healthy, whole foods, but I had an insatiable appetite pre-band. I'd have Breakfast and then have another Breakfast. I'd eat a "normal person's" lunch, and then have more. I'd make dinner and serve up a huge portion for myself, and an hour later I'd be back there picking at the leftovers!
I'm just over 6 weeks post-band and down 9.2kg, which is 20.24 pounds. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
