I am depressed I cant do anything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I feel ya!! I am an active person too!! beside lots of miserable factors I am having right now I feel so bored and can't take it anymore! what I do is watch TV which is boring!, surf the internet which is more boring except for this board and sleep:( other than that I feel like I miss my band! which is HORRIBLE even after the doctor told me that it did so many scar tissues inside. I gained weight since my surgery 4 days ago .. they said its fluid and it will come off quickly .. it didnt come off and I am on that clear fluid! So count ur blessing .. u are in a better place now. hope it gets better as everyone is saying!

Buh-bye! for this section only!!
Ladies, I had angels not doctors.. The first one who checked on me told me if I got too many fears, he will just give me a pill to relax me .. which worked.. down at the OR the other doctor told me that am too emotional! and he will give me ( epidural) not sure of the spelling at all, it is given for the ladies in labor and he kept telling me that I already look amazing!! why are u are getting sleeved, he was so sweet. I dont remember anything afterward:)) The technology is really different than before when I had my band:) I am still not focused I suffered from stomach spasms and some nausea thn I asked them to take me off of the pain meds. I just use voultareen in case I feel so sore. I am glad and still feel weird about the whole thing but I feel lucky to have this much support, ur words kept me going:) and yes I was about to call my surgeon and cancel 1 hr before the surgery:) glad I didnt!! hope everyone have the same gorgeous doctors I had:) I also had my gallbladder removed and had many scar tissues.. thank God for everything XXOO

Buh-bye! for this section only!!
LESS THAN 12 Hours for my surgery! I cant think of any suitable words to say it or express it! But this boars should take an award soon!! and it will have to be the very first resort for anyone who is looking for real support! What I love about it here? Is people still comes back! even at their goal.. They update their status as if they are updating their fb! "Yeah I was a freak and watched it closely" I will be sure to recommend it to anyone who is considering the sleeve! It is really safe.. at OH I had to stop posting cause spam emails started stocking my inbox.. I NEVER found one rude/mean/unsupportive response here! It is crazy but it is absolutely perfect! I love u guys! you have done magical mental help for me.. u have no idea:) That being said:) I have stayed good with myself for the past weeks.. yeah I had 2 or 3 bad food.. but I didnt gain! I actually lost 2 pounds! which is really awesome with my band:) Today ofcourse "the inner devil inside of me" shouted .. u should have the infamous "Last supper" I dont wanna cause u any pain but I did have my cake and ate it too! but didnt go so far.. the band is still working:) My worst nightmare! I couldnt give up smoking.. " we dont have a policy of cancelling the surgery in case u smoked" and I wish we did... so hopefully I will stop abusing myself afterwards and give it up soon! after my surgery if I did make it :S Fear, anxiety and freaking out is still there.. but all I have to do is go back to my last topic and read ur relieving posts! I am not worrying about my food intae afterwards or that I Will deal with issues of not having so much food .. cause I had a well practice with my band... my ONLY fear is not losing. I am staying on and off the board until midnight .. and then I will try to get some sleep .. so my last request, PRAY FOR ME! and keep me in your good thoughts:) Thanks! and seeya on other section of this board! although I will still come to this section to contribute! but I guess no new topics for me here!! XOXOX

I am not changing my mind
I cant believe how awesome this board is!.. Seriously! I love it more than the OH boards.. It is like a family! I find myself tracking everyone and reading most of the blogs and may be rereading some of the posts... I should always be thankful to GOD that I found this board. Now, after saying I am brave enough, I am doing this for myself! and I can actually do this! I am freaking out! I keep having sleeping problems, visualizing the day I will walk myself to a hospital asking for pain! yes pain! I am very sensitive! may be a coward! . I cant believe I will be able to proceed! although I know I will. I know I will wear the gown and let them do the pre op procedures but then what!! how can I give them the permission to drag me to the surgery room! and cause me pain:( I remember with the band, I woke up to a terrifying pain! I dont wanna feel that pain again. Dont take my post as if I am changing my mind or something. I just needed to let this out and let someone else know that although I act brave infront of my family I am still panicing deep inside! I dont wish anyone who is having the surgery near to read this .. I really need words of encouragement! something to think of when I try to say no I changed my mind dont put me under anesthesia ! I am doing this knowing I might not reach my goal! and I might end up losing 50 pounds at most.. I know it will be so worth it. But I am afraid of the surgery, Afraid I might not make it, I still didnt live! my fat never allowed me to! Also I am afraid of the pain:( Well, there I let you know about my everyday thought while I am trying to sleep .. that moment they will drag me to the operation room! and will I make it there..? Thanks again for listening XOX

Mixed feeling more question! WHAT IF!
Thanks! it seems so true .. I keep asking and the answers come my way! this forum is just too friendly happy supportive one! I am just addicted! I find myself checking on ppl now and worrying about those whose surgery date was on! It is amazing:) Ur input sure helps a lot:) and I am so thankful u took the time to write it:).. I was so aware of the decaffeinated coffee after I read about it here several times .. so I went out and bought a decaf one.. I think I bought my vitamins/protein shake and the only thing now I have to buy is patience and something to ease my stress! I am a smoker and the more the date is approaching the harder I find it to quit!.. I know it is terrible, and we they have no policy against smoking. so finger crossed I will survive this! thank u again and congratulations on ur weightloss!!! It is amazing:)

Mixed feeling more question! WHAT IF!
Thank u so much I too think you should go with the sleeve.. the main reason I am saying that cause I saw ur ticker, u are 110 LBS away from ur goal.. and to be honest the band only helped me when I was way heavier than u! I was over 300 pounds and it helped me losing 90 pounds the rest were purely on my own! So with a lighter weight like urs I would go with the sleeve, I am having friends who weighted 50 pounds less than me and had the band and are stuck at the same weight I am today!. I dont mean to push anything toward ur way but as u said, u have read a lot and knew what u are gonna be facing with both. I think my story is typical! I also would advice if u visit the OH board to go to the sleeve and the revision board. The band one is a bit formal! people stopped posting about their bands problems there cause as I heard some were really too offensive and did nothing but blame the failure on them. Best of luck with ur decision and I too wish the sleeve will work for all of us:)

sleeved april 11th..yesterday

60 Days post-op, just getting to know the sleeve ..
Aww!! thanks for the Temaki Tip! never knew it! I am glad I have had the chance to speak to u!! u are an info guru when it comes to my favorite food!! which I become addictive to after my band!! I was glad I found it too! it was my only way out! with the band "No chicken, meat or veggies can pass through!" so yeah I am glad to have great news about the sleeve and sashimi!! It is a great deal of losing weight! when u stay away from the fried stuff ofcourse:) Thanks again for ur detailed explaination!! it is a great insights to what I should expect in less than 4 days!! my surgery is on the 16th .. BEST OF LUCK on ur journey and glad ur ex wife saw u! and stared!! ) I cant wait for someone who called me a "cow" after he broke up with me years ago to see me after my sleeve! one of the NSV I am looking forward too! have a great week!! and one last question.. is the hunger really fading?

60 Days post-op, just getting to know the sleeve ..
Oh that cone!! we call it Temaki here:)) Its one of my favorite too!! and yes it too little portion I guess less that 100 grms u mentioned!! I love that I have someone here who is addicted to such kind of food Which i consider healthy! Thanks for clearing that thing up! it seems so little portion! I can rarely get satisfied with 2 hand rolls of those! and rice is an issue for me too so I let them do it with less rice as a special request! seems like u are not handling the rice too well as u mentioned so I think my first step toward solid food will be only Sashimi ( sushi w/o rice ) I am talking to someone whose living at the birth country of this food but may be the names are different or something thats why I am clarifying sashimi here lol Did u try sashimi yet? how many OZ can u handle ? what about the shrimp? I find salmon easy with my band but Shrimp is hard! Thanks a lot for ur reply:)))

60 Days post-op, just getting to know the sleeve ..
Thank you so much Dudeman! this is a great walkthrough to what I should expect after my surgery, I am glad you mentioned sushi as I am a daily sushi eater !! but I am wonder when u said 2 hand rolls.. is the roll made of eight piece?! cause thats what we call a roll of sushi here. with my band now I can eat 1 to 1 and half roll .. so after the sleeve do u still can manage to eat that much quantity? thanks again for this great manual!! I am saving it to my favorite on my browser:)

Sending u lots of hugs and comfort! after my band surgery I kept having fights with my mom blaming here for NOTHING lol but just blaming her and accusing her of hurting my feelings even though she was an angel to me!! and then I cried after that then when my friends came over I kept leaving them in my room and sitting alone outside! and crying! then 2 month later I was laughing at myself:) dont worry!! its a phase:) and as they told u here they all went through it.. u are not alone:)
