The Waiting Game..until insurance approves Gastric Sleeve Surgery ?
I am sorry if I was confusing. I was not denied. I think it was because I talked with the insurance company so often, asked so many questions, and had everything exactly like they wanted it, that my paperwork was approved in less than an hour.

When Do The Staples & Stitches Come Out?
The first thing they should have told you what was going to happen. In my experiences, if they look like thread they will need to be removed at maybe 2 weeks. If they look kind of an amber clear color then they will dissolve on their own. My incisions were glued on top with stitches that would dissolve underneath. I had no drain tube either. I hope this helps.

Gastric Sleeve Appointments Overwhelming
I started my journey in July 2010 and was sleeved on 3/29/2011. It seemed to take forever for me, but like everyone else has said it is worth the wait.

Worried About Post Gastric Sleeve Surgery....
The hospital staff is there to take care of you and that is exactly what they do. Even if it means waking you up in the middle of the night to take your blood pressure. I will say that this was one of the easiest surgeries I have had. I had no pain and could walk normally a few hours after surgery. I was lucky and could sleep easily in any position right after the operation. Sending calming vibes and hugs out to you

The Waiting Game..until insurance approves Gastric Sleeve Surgery ?
Do not set your expectations too high after hearing that it took one hour for the insurance company to approve my surgery. I talked with my coordinator all the time to make sure I had everything they needed and exactly what they were looking for. The paperwork was probably just a technicality. It was still very exciting to hear the "You're Approved" coming through the receiver! I didn't stop smiling that whole day! Your day is coming. Best wishes!!

Hello From Atlanta
I returned to work in a week and a half. I could have gone back sooner, but I was out of town for by father's 80th birthday celebration. I sit at a desk and only lift papers one at a time. Good wishes to all of you with December surgeries!
