What was your down time?
I was out of the office for 1 full week. Then, I returned for 1.5 weeks of 1/2 days. That was a tremendous help - you get really tired due to the lack of calories and such. I truly felt like myself at about a month out - no need for a nap after work, etc. Like you said, everyone is a little different. But 2 weeks or so should really do the trick. If you have to go back earlier, you can do it. Just be prepared for the low energy & don't plan a lot of after work activities.

OT? Restless Leg Syndrome and Tylenol PM
Since I haven't taken any more of the medicine, the effects seem to have worn off - very weird few days though.

oooookaaayyyy here we gooooo!!!!
First, take 10 deep breaths... Then, change that thinking! They are removing up to 85% of your stomach. That is an awesome thing. You are going to learn to eat like a thin person. Heck! You are going TO BE a thin person. You will still go out with your friends. You will still be you. You will just be a much thinner and healthier version of you!!!!!!!!!!! We all know the emotions that you are going through. But, if you read the posts about "Would you do it again", it's like 99.9% YES. Those are great stats. Can't wait to hear from you once you are a LOSER!!!!!! (Note - if this doesn't work, go back to the top & repeat the steps until you remember that you've done your research, you know this is for you, and you are calm once again! :confused1:)

OT? Restless Leg Syndrome and Tylenol PM
So, not really related to WLS, but for me, it kinda is. The night before my surgery, I was a bit jittery so I took a generic Tylenol PM to help me sleep. I slept a while, but then woke up with what my husband calls "jimmy legs" or restless leg syndrome. Yesterday, I had a rough day, felt a headache coming on, so I decided to take a few more & just collapse. Again, jimmy legs. Only this time, I'm still having them today. Ugh! I did some research on Bing and found that others have had the same reaction & it can last a few days. Definitely not taking that again! It's driving me nuts. I can't concentrate - I've taken a few walks around the ofice, but nothing is helping. :confused1: Any suggestions?

Sorry to hear that Anna. Just remember, the hair loss is temporary. The weightloss is FOREVER!!!! Maybe it's time to make an appointment with a fancy hairstylist that can give you a new look for the new body & help camoflouge the area for now. Spoil yourself rotten!

Weight regain with VSG?
I wonder if that is what helped me??? Both of us live in the Pacific Northwest where sunshine can be hard to find. I was put on Vitamin D and looking back, my sugar cravings have decreased. Hmmmmmm

Tummy Stretching? Opinions!
Can't say it's "Hunger" as in the old definition, but definitely know when I need to eat. I get an "empty" sort of feeling - hard to explain. Head hunger has definitely come back with summer - schedules are off, invitations to bbqs, and tons of sweets seem to be wherever I am. But, working through that. We CAN do this!!!!

Tummy Stretching? Opinions!
I got the distinct impression that he doesn't expect any stretching, but didn't want to give a 100% guarantee. Know what I mean?

Tummy Stretching? Opinions!
I think this is very true. If you snack all day or graze, you can fit in a lot of food and calories. Likewise, if you choose slider foods for your meals, those calories will just slide right in. There may be some slight stretching ... only time will tell. But, my doctor guaranteed me that I will never be able to eat a Red Robin Hamburger again at one sitting. And, that sounds good to me because pre-op, I LOVED the Whiskey River BBQ Burger! :001_tongue:

Just cut my hair lady!
Thanks Anna. I'm feeling pretty awesome. Now that I am getting closer, I think I may drop my final goal to somewhere between 125 and 135. Not exactly sure where I will stop, but I'm sure my body will let me know. Hard to believe I am really here. Still trying to wrap my head around my new size. I truly think I would have flattened that hairdresser. Good for you for restraining yourself!

beer
I am 6 months out, but occaisionally have an MGD64. It does leave you feeling very full. Just be careful not to pick up habits of eating and drinking at the same time - very easy to do with beer.
