  1. So I thought I had found a Vitamin I could live with pre-op... post op they just come right back up. These are the Celebrate multi (pineapple something). When can we take capsules? Anyone have any other recommendations for Vitamins? I know folks do the vitamin drinks but I'm already struggling with my Protein shakes (thank god for mushies!) Thanks (PS. I tried search and looking in the vitamin section but didn't see much to recommend.)
  2. Thanks so much for the support. I don't know where I'd be with out this site!
  3. Up until this point everything has been pretty great. Then last week (two weeks and one day post op) I had to put my dog to sleep. Then I had to drive 4 hours to see my surgeon for my post op two week visit and 4 hours back home. By Sunday my stress level was through the roof and bam got hit with a nasty migraine which included lots and lots of vomiting. The next day I had a follow up migraine and more vomiting. On top of all of this I'm on my third period in three weeks, this one seems to be bound and determine to leave me completely bloodless. So I'm very very shaky, dizzy and some what sick to my stomach. Trying to get in fluids and some Protein. When it rains it pours?
  4. I'm just over two weeks out and had one scrambled egg with a bit of milk.... totally stuffed! Love it.... I feel no hunger (though I do sometimes miss the taste of things.) My knees already feel better, my back has been feeling better. My energy level has been great. Hoping this all continues.
  5. I'm having the same issue.... weight loss + surgery = hormone craziness.
  6. Great job! You look fantastic!
  7. I'm just a week post op and hormonal but I just cried happy tears for you!!!! That is so fantastic. I was very very lucky to have two lovely healthy girls before starting my WLS journey but I know the troubles and stress of trying to conceive etc. Best best wishes!!!
  8. We went to CVS and the pharmacist mixed some adult liquid tylenol for me. It tastes just as bad as the loritab but doesn't knock my on my butt! Plus you only have to take about 5ml (instead of 15ml of loritab)
  9. I was told to aim for 64oz of zero calorie (no carbonation) fluids and three Protein shakes a day. It took a week but now I'm able to take that in with no issues.
  10. I didn't care.... and I followed the preop instructions which were to shower the night before, no shaving, no lotions, no powders (!).
  11. I have PCOS so my experience might be different... but prior to the preop diet its been months since I had a period. I've never been regular and have often gone 6-9 months without a period many times before. About 4 days into the preop diet my period started and lasted until the day before the surgery. Now post op I've been spotting here and there for a week. I won't complain (see above). And I know its hormone city for my body right now.
  12. I'm a little over a week post op. Like you, I was/am a drinker. Most days I had more than 64 oz of water easy. The first few days where uncomfortable with gas but now I'm having zero problem drinking. I was worried about gulping being a problem but either I gulp less than I thought or its just not an issue today.
  13. My two c-sections where much much harder!
  14. I feel just about the same way so each day Ive been having a little bit of V8. You can put some protein powder in it too. It's been a lifesaver.
  15. I'm day 6 too! My saving grace has been some V8 juice. Salty! I can only handle about 2oz at a time but it really helps when I'm craving the taste of things.
  16. I'm 4 days post op and I have a number of dreams were I try to eat and have forgotten that I can't right now. While awake I've had zero hunger and no interest in putting anything in my mouth.
  17. I was sleeved on the 16th too. I think I'm doing pretty good. Trying to get in fluids and some Protein. I've been sticking to the loritab about half dose and really only lapse at night. Its definitely helping. Gas is ok... burbing is good. I'm worried about fluids though I'm able to sip pretty well. No hunger. Can't wait to be able to sleep on my side.
  18. I'm day 4 post op (Yay) and all I have is gas moving down there. Was able to finish a 20g Protein shake yesterday and some unjury chicken Soup but even before surgery my bm's had slowed down to every few days with just a small amount of soft material. I can't imagine baring down at this point! Hoping the mirlax works for you. I purchased some pre-op to have on hand and know exactly where it is!
  19. I've used Atkins and they are pretty good. Now I'm using Unjury and the CVS brand powders and they are great. Have you tried getting different samples?
  20. Well I'm sitting in the patient waiting room. I'm scheduled to go at 10:30. Pretty excited and a little nervous. Hope every has a great procedure today. Hope to make my first post op post doing well and finally sleeved!!!
  21. Well.... its the final few days!!!! How's everyone been doing?
  22. Warning - I have no medical evidence to back this up but.... It was explained to me that our bodies often store toxins in body fat and as you burn that fat you can re-release stuff causing mild flu like symptoms here and there as your body works these things out of your system....
  23. I believe I got that from eggonface.
  24. You look great!!!! Good work!
