  2. which doctor will you be at Priscilla? I'm with Dr.Cobourn, does that mean we get the new style of band?
  3. Hey my last supper will also be lobster although I'll be having it at home, since we do not have red lobster restaurants .....wish we did,I'll bet they're really good.Good Luck everyone!:hungry:
  4. Thanks for sharing,it's great to know that people made it through....and lived to talk about it.I start Wed. and find it hard to believe I can do this,my body gets really shaky when I don't eat for a while so I'm hoping the Optifast helps with that.Cloe did you tell your friends and family...were they supportive?
  5. Thanks Gaffer,I really don't mind coffee black and kind of need something to bluff through the 2 weeks with at the social stuff thats going on.Hoping people won't notice too much I really dont want to answer the questions or have to defend this decision to everyone:paranoid
  6. Yea I'm with ya on that,I bought ugly pj's at Walmart(because they fit)but I can pick up some comfy and maybe a zip up hoodie and get more wear out of them.I'm thankful for this forum.I start my optifast this week and I must say I'm trying to be optimistic but I'm not looking forward to it,also I have only told hubby and one friend so I'm a little afraid of lieing to folks at work and stuff about not eating with them like usual,Is coffee alright durring this phase?
  7. Wish I had that kind of control where food is concerned Sherriberry ,I've never been any good at it thus my need for the band.
  8. YEA YODA..... halfway in 9 months, your an inspiration to those of us sitting on the sidelines nervously, thanks for that:)
  9. Hi again Heather ,I'm not sure how long after the surgery they keep you there ,my appointment is at 7am. Are you coming in from out of town too?
  10. I'm the wrong person to give anyone advice on the whole stress thing,It's been the year from you know where and somedays I just white knuckle it through, but know this Cloe by the sounds of things a whole lot of people think you're pretty awesome so please take a little comfort in the fact that you must be doing many things right.Take care of yourself.
  11. +28 ! Is there no justice??
  12. doppleganger?.......still have'nt clued in:confused:
  13. Hi there Heather,so glad to hear from you,I also get banded on the 7th in Doctor Cobourn's clinic, what time is your appointment? Did they say if you could have fruit and stuff also with your optifast(I thought I read that somewhere)I start mine on the 24th.Congrats on your decision:clap2:
  14. Yasmina and Becca77, I start the Optifast stuff on Jan.24th and have surgery onthe 7th of Feb.So we'll all be hungry and grumpy togather! I'm anxious and excited... Oh well it's a means to an end.
  15. I', scared to ask....but what the heck is a doppleganger?:paranoid
  16. PEI, but it's odd because before this it's been really mild....very weird for January
  17. Hey Delta Dawn, thanks I'm getting that book,I really do want to be able to learn to run but without starting slow and with some guidelines....it might not go so well.Hopefully I don't cause ya nightmares Yoda! :scared: It's really cold here too -20 and -39 windchill ,brrrrrrrrrrrrr
  18. I'm going to buy that book! The most inspirational thing I've heard yet is attempting running...I look at runners with envy and always have....I have tried half heartedly in the past but I worry about the drop in realistate values to my neighbors homes, what with me gasping, boobs everywhere, and snaught draining out of my nose....yep not pretty.
  19. Good Luck, I'll Be Thinking Of Ya & Looking Forward To Hear Your Stories
  20. Seems to me you guys are losing and really doing awesome, do you try to eat fruit and veggies or are they hard to digest with the band,it seems that some have no problems at all and others feel they need to avoid certain ones? I get the feeling that peelings Apple, grapes etc. can cause some issues.(not that I could'nt give them up...I certainly did'nt get fat on apples and grapes):rolleyes
  21. take care of yourself:girl_hug:
  22. Hi Sherrylynn, are you getting the band in Moncton? I was wondering because I called their office and they did'nt seem to be very encouraging as far as getting the band so I just kinda let it go .So I was curious if you got a referral from a GP or something.Good luck
  23. Yoda,your so close to half way....congrats, :clap2:
  24. Thanks for that Argon, choking always gets me all weird and paniced, but of course you are right.....it's always better to be aware.Funny how all these things that come up and they just make sense but I hadn't thought about it. Hey are you getting this storm?
