1. You are doing great. Joyce Myers is very inspiratiopnal. I can relateto your journey but I finally quit looking for a man to fill my void and let Jesus be in control. Best wishes with your journey in weight lose, life, and love. You need to love yourself above all. Rita

That's awesome, Keep up the great work.
3. I have been just like you. I had surgery 11/19/2010. I have only lost 27 lbs. I have had fills every month since surgery. I just never felt any restriction. My last fill is when I am finally feeling restrition. My doctor said everyone's openingto stomach is different in few cases it takes moret o get tight. Just be patient and you will get there. Thank you becasue I felt like the only one that wasn't losing. I hear all these success stories and they make me depressed like I am a failure for spending all this money and not losing. RIta

I am diabetic and my surgery was out patient. I went in at &am and was home by noon. I had no problems.
8. I been in the same boat. I am 4 months post op and lost only 20 lbs. I am just happy to be losing and not gaining. I have cut back on insulin but still have to take, Good luck with your journey.
9.

I didn't get my first fill until 9 weeks either. I usually do a protien shake for breakfest, sugar free pudding or jello for a morning snack, lunch is just grilled chicken salad, & dinner is just your normal, meat & veggie. I haven't had any restriction. I can eat anything in everything.
10. I was banded November 18,2010. I haven't had much success with the band. I started out at 259 and I am only down to 247. I have become addicted to the scale. I wieght first thing when, before I eat, after I eat, before I shower, & after. I haven't felt any type of restriction. After surgery I lost 12 lbs but gained two after first fill. I went back to doctor Monday and only lost 2lbs after 2nd fill. The doctor didn't give me a third fill but schuduled me to go to hopital to do the test like after surgery where you drink that stuff. ( I can't think of the correct term.) He said he will fill me then but wanted to see excactly how big my passage to stomach is so he don't over fill. I am so ready to start losing. I have felt like a failure not losing weight after surgery. I work out and try my best at the diet but the scale stays the same. It's depressing reading all the blogs about peoples success when I am struggling.
11. You are on a strict diet but when I had surgury I was still hungry post op. I have had two feels and still don't feel much restiction. My regular doctor added welbutrin and it has helped out and I have dropped from 251 to 247 since Monday. I
12. Thanks everyone for the response. I was feeling a little alone and wondering if I was doing something wrong. I go Thursday for my 3rd fill and will keep you posted. Hopefully I will feel restricted this time and finally lose a few pounds. The worst feeling is when family ask you how much weight you lost, I thinks it's worst then the old speech "you need to lose weight , I only telling you for your own good." I don't want to be this size. I have doing jazzercise for 5 years, gyms, and dieting since I was 9 .
13. I had my surgury November 18,2010. I lost 10 lbs when I went to first follow up, since then I have slowly gained weight. I have not felt any restriction since my band. I am feeling really fustrated and depressed. I go back on the 24th of February for my 3rd fill. I went to my regular doctor today and seen that I that I gained another 3 lbs back. I started at 259 and went down to 249 and as of today back to 251. Has any one else gained weight with surgery? I feel like I wasted my money. I am tired of people asking how much weight have you lost? This is a worse feeling than growing up and people telling you need to lose weight for your own good. I feel trapped in this fat body and I want out.

I was banded on November 18th and have same problem. I have been real disappointed. I was depressed when going for 2nd fill cause I gained 2 lbs. I am tring to stay hopeful for 3rd fill on Feb 24th. I am seeing more people write that the 3rd fill is when you see it start working so we will have to be patient a little longer.
