Liquids again

Is it wrong to start liquids again? I was banded November 4, 2010 and had two fills so far. I have not loss any weight since the surgery. I blame myself since I can't stop eating the bad stuff. I am not being that person I thought I could be, disciplined. I have decided to put myself back on the liquid diet for two weeks to catch up on weight loss since I feel that I am less hungry when I was doing the high protein shakes than I am when eating food. I know it's my mind since I can sit there and eat and not listen to my body if I'm full or not. Well, I hope with my third fill I have no choice but to control. Third fill Feb. 18th.

Keep your chin up. I didn't start to feel real restriction until the 3rd fill....and, it wasn't the restriction I needed. I was banded 9/30/10 and am still toying with where I need to be at. I have lost 35 pounds total, but probably 20 of that came after I was banded. And, the majority of THAT amount happened after the 3rd fill. No worries...it will come. Just try your hardest to eat things that aren't slider foods, eat your protein first, and work the band

I was banded on November 18th and have same problem. I have been real disappointed. I was depressed when going for 2nd fill cause I gained 2 lbs. I am tring to stay hopeful for 3rd fill on Feb 24th. I am seeing more people write that the 3rd fill is when you see it start working so we will have to be patient a little longer.

Im with the others who posted above. Its been 5 months for me and I have only lost 20 lbs. I finally feel restriction at times with my 3rd fill. You will see a difference after that fill. Docs say that most people live between 3-4 fills and continue to lose weight. Give it time. I, too, was very disappointed especially since we see so many success stories on here. Give yourself 2 full years to get your weight off. Its suppose to take that long if you have more than 60 lbs to lose. After you are filled to the right amount you wont be able overeat...even if its bad food. You will only be able to eat a little bit. Thats where I am now, but I gotta tell you... the weight isnt coming off any quicker. Its not simple science like they say ( cals in must equal cals out). I eat about 1000 per day and work out VERY hard 5 days a week... still I lose 1 lb a week. So frustrating but I really dont have a choice at this point. Im just thankful that its coming off at all.

Me too! I just had my 3rd fill Monday and I still feel hungry all of the time. I was to be on clear liquids for 24 hrs and the next 24 mushy foods. Today I was so hungry, I ate scrambled eggs and was still hungry. I am depressed and getting so tired of this happening so slow. I thought this would be a little quicker than not having surgery at all and doing this myself, but it is not. I do eat the right things. I am not a junk food junkie and that's what makes me so damn angry. I eat the right stuff and still no weight loss.
