Haitus Hernia
A hiatal hernia is when the stomach protrudes through the diaphragm up into your espohagus. I had one and didn't have any symptoms like acid reflux. The dr repaired that before he placed the lap band on me.

Soup For A Lifetime ?
I've been banded for 13 months and don't have a problem eating almost anything. I stay away from snow peas and any steak other than filet mignon. Believe me, it is so worth it even if there is food you can no longer have! I thought I would die without bread. Well, I can still eat it with no problem, I have just chosen not to except on a rare occassion.

Side Tracked!!!

Post Op Restriction
I didn't feel much restriction and I had 3 cc put in on the day of surgery. It took quite a few fills before I felt anything different.

Just A Question
I don't have a problem eating any type of bread, I just don't eat it very often. Sourdough was the one thing I thought I would truely miss and I really don't at all. And that's HUGE coming from a bread lover like myself!

Not Really Understanding This Board.
People are human and no one is perfect. If I could follow the rules to a T I prob wouldn't have been overweight in the first place and needed the lapband. I've screwed up plenty of times, am I proud of it? No, but I am only accountable to myself. Sometimes it's helpful just knowing that you aren't the only one having a struggle with this journey.

My dr suggested 60 after surgery. He now said to aim for 45. I usually get in around 60 a day no problem.

Great Snack Choices?
LOVE the CarbMaster yogurts from Ralphs! If you don't have a Ralph's it also may be at Kroger grocery stores too. For 60 calories and 8 grams of protein it's a great deal. I also add 1/2 cup Kashi go Lean Crunch cereal and a few chopped strawberries too it.YUMMO!

1 Year And Counting, Loss Of Momentum And Confidence
definitley you need to find a new lapband dr. If you are having difficulty eating then you prob need a slight unfill. And yes, I am stuck at the same weight for awhile now!
-
Hard Time Eating
I would go in for a slight unfill too. You need to be eating. As for having a harder time in the morning, maybe try a hot cup of tea or coffee first thing. I have a huge cup of tea before breakfast and have never had any problems eating in the mornings.
