  1. I didn't take any because I really hated my picture being taken. Luckily the dr's office took a front and side view and I had them send me the file. I had my before and after side by side picture as my profile pic and now I don't even like to look at that picture anymore....no more going back! You guys are smart to take them, nice to see how far you have come!
  2. The first time I got an unfill I suffered for about 7 hours before going in. Instant relief as soon as she pulled it out, it was crazy! The 2nd time I caught it just when I knew it was happening so lesson sure was learned from the first time! Now I make sure I do liquids for 2 days after a fill.
  3. Love my band! Have had my fair share of episodes of vomiting, 2 unfills and still searching for that green zone but I wouldn't trade it for the world! Did I say I LOVE my band?!!!
  4. wow Jen, that's amazing!! Congrats on your success!
  5. Stephanie it sounds like you need a slight unfill. I have had to go in 2 times for an unfill. I didn't like paying $150 for the unfill and a week later another $150 to be filled again but it was $600 well spent. Never do I want to go through that again!
  6. You should be eating 3 ounces protein and 1/2 cup veggies. Maybe your band is too tight. I can eat a whole lean cuisine for lunch and add some additional veggies.
  7. It will come off in due time! My first month I was down 13 and I was discouraged seeing all these people losing 20 -25 pounds in the first month.
  8. Judy, your good night is my good morning! Have a good one!
  9. Boar's Head is a brand. I love their honey maple turkey and ham! I was eating the carrots raw in the beginning. Now I am hooked on cooked carrots. I slice them long and thin and bake them with a little cooking spray and salt and pepper. I love asparagus and zuchinni cooked the same way and broiled at the end to crisp them up a bit. You sound like you got your soups down! I love soup and make a big pot every weekend. Enjoy your lunch! I am just about ready for bed!
  10. what are you doing for your workouts Georgia Girl?
  11. woot, woot, good for you! I always love to buy the next size down and try them on til they fit!
  12. Good for you! In the beginning when I first started having food I made sure that I packed my little container of Boar's Head turkey, some aged white cheddar and baby carrots before we headed out.I totally get your strong flavor over quantity and that's just what that meal did for me. Funny, that was my staple lunch for months and haven't had it since way back when!
  13. Each day you will go a little bit farther....baby steps! You gotta start somewhere, right?
  14. Even most people with heart problems no longer need to be premedicated. I work in a dental office and rarely are people premedicated anymore. I think if one has a metal hip replacement , then you have to take it.

good for you! Can't wait to see you lose!
  16. Hang in there guys, it will get easier! I honestly can't believe how fast the first year went for me.
  17. As for eating, I have way more protein and veggies than I did presurgery. Before my plate would be loaded with potatoes or rice. Now I measure out 1/4 cup and the rest is veggies and protein. As for exercise, I have always walked, but have added some running into my morning routine. Today we are getting a treadmill so I am excited to start doing that as well. My clothes shopping has definitely changed! I love getting new things and now wear heels most of the time.
  18. You could scramble up some eggs and put them in a small thermos and have something warm to eat on the way. In the beginning I used to eat my eggs on the drive to work because I would use the clock to time in between my bites. My other usual breakfast is a yogurt topped with 1/2 c Kashi Cereal. You could keep that in an ice chest and it should be fine in your car.
  19. 90 days seems really long! My first few fills were only 2 weeks apart for the first couple of months.
  20. 6:30 - tea with creamer 7:30- 1 whole egg, 2 egg whites 11:30 - Lean Cuisine baked chicken 2:30 - green salad topped with chicken breast and 1T dressing 6:00 - 2 oz tri tip, small baked potato, grilled zuchinni/carrots/aspargus, and a heavenly 1 oz piece of fresh french bread with a tad of butter! 7:00 sugar free dulce de leche pudding 1150 calories total. 22. I was a HUGE carb lover before surgery and I have gotten used to not eating that much starchy food anymore. I'll have for dinner sometimes 1/4 cup mashed potatoes or a golf ball sized baked potato. Hang in there, it will get easier!
  23. Not almost time, it's time!! Congrats and get some smaller clothes "Slim"!
