  1. Blend the mashed potatoes with milk and unflavored protein powder and think you should be okay
  2. My surgery is april 13th! it's almost here! I have to go in at five in the morning, but I am glad because i'm sure i won't sleep that night. On another note I am kinda hungry on my pre op diet (which is full liquids) if there is any advice you guys can give i would really appreciate it. Also any advice on anything else would be really welcome! Thanks so much!
  3. There is this child plate that has a section underneath to put hot water to keep the food warm. The link under what to take to the hospital thread. on the second page
  4. That swimsuit definately fits you better! I couldn't even tell the first one had a skirt on it! LOL!
  5. You were right, thanks. I forgot I had some of those recipes in the dessert section. I took those out now. Thanks for the headsup
  6. I did have shelly's recipes in there, but took them out even though i credited her she didn't want me to have them on here. So i took them off. The rest were from so many different places like at my TOPS meetings and things like that. I just don't know where they all came from. But I removed the shelly's ones
  7. try sparkpeople.com they have a resource for calculating recipes.
  8. I have taken the cookbook down due to people complaining about the sources even though I don't have sources for the remaining recipes on here. If anybody wants the cookbook pm me and i might send it to you
  9. I know, I would read that page all day long. And now I am getting the sleeve and they don't have it, this should definitely be a sticky.
  10. Gayle replied to MINI-Me's topic in Food and Nutrition
Hurray! Accountability buddy! You can tell me what you ate every day, lol
  11. I was told at my pre op class that it is normal to be in the 99 range, but if it went over 101 to go to the doctor or call the surgeon.
  12. There's your big problem, the diet coke. The carbonation stretches the stomach.
  13. i am in the same boat. the crazy roller coaster of emotions
  14. I am sure I won't be sleeping the night before. That is why I am glad I am the first in so I don't have to stay awake forever, lol
  15. a lot of women experience this because the blood thinner they give causes some women's periods to start. So they will give you big paper panties and make you wear a giant pad. It's very attractive.
  16. I think you are getting cold feet. When you start to think about the what ifs of what bad could happen think about the facts of it. It rarely happens, and if your surgeon is good it most likely won't happen to you. Also, think about the good things that are more than "what ifs" because they will happen. Think about how you will lose weight and fit into clothes you love and be able to do a lot more things that you want to do! Whatever you do, don't cancel it! Just stick it out, it will be over before you know it.
  17. I am 20 and I am getting sleeved April 13th. I guess it depends on how much you have to lose. I have over 200 LBS to lose.
  18. My surgery is going to be April 13th. It's coming up quick! I will have a few days of liquid diet before hand. Going to a pre op class on Wednesday, and then will have the pre op appointment on April 7th with the NUT and the surgeon. I'm getting pretty excited so I have a coupe of questions What would be the best advice you can give? And what should I pack my bag with for the hospital. I will be there for 1 or 2 nights.
  19. april 6th! let me know if you want my email and we can chat
  20. I am having the same problem with my Fiance. He is being so stubborn. He thinks I won't succeed and that I never tried hard enough. He is upset that I made this decision for myself and by myself, he thinks he should have a say in it. I understand that we are in a partnership here and should make decisions together, but this is my body and my health and I think it really is my decision to make. So I was very frank with him. I told him that this was something I had to do for myself and that I'm sorry that he doesn't agree with it, but I promised that it would make our lives better and he would be so much happier when it's done. I told him that I really needed his support on this. He decided to back down and just support me. I think you need to just be honest with your wife and tell her you need her support and will be sad, but okay if you don't have it.
  21. I read a book today that said that even the most finicky protein shake person would love these recipes
  22. I looked at your gallery and I think you look better overall now. Maybe it's a psychological thing you are suffering from. Having a hard time accepting the change.
  23. I will be 4 weeks this Wednesday! Holy crap it's coming up soon! I'm freaking out
  24. I know EXACTLY how you feel. I have been getting so upset about it too. But something that makes me feel better is that you look at the requirements for this surgery, and one of them is having tried and failed before. And still you see a good success rate among all the patients. Plus, this one is different than RNY because it gets rid of most of the ghrelin factor, bonus!
  25. trust me, I know EXACTLY how that goes. I went to my seminar beginning of Feb, just recently had my psych eval and now I have to wait about 3 weeks to hear aback from insurance. Waiting...
