Hi gorgeous banders! I have been destressing this weekend and preparing for a crazy week. DH b-day today and he loves his gift - ipad2. It was just released on Friday here in Canada so it won't be delivered until 3-4 wks. DH hubby and I had a big 3 kms walk in the sunshine along the river. Went out to celebrate his b-day last night. The plan was to go dancing. We never go out. Just our luck we went out and the dj was lame and nobody was dancing. Also we were both so tired we wanted to go to bed. Sign of age? lol as we are in our early 40's. We had a really lazy day today. Lunch out on the river and a big nap. Since my fill on wed I am getting use to what works and not with the new plumbing. I have been a stuck a few times. I am eating less and just need to find what works. It is amazing how 2 CC's can change everything. I made a yummy egg, chicken & blue cheese puree. Spring is here so we are going to start on our little yard in our town house. I want to spruce things up so going to do a few repairs and paint. Planning new planters & outside decor. I only lost a pound this week but need to take measurements as I feel good and I am down another size. Another bag of clothing this week gone! I am focused on my trip to Mexico with my BFF. I would like to be down 2 more sizes. One gal at my clients is calling me the blonde skinny bitch - I find it really motivating . I am so excited that I can start back on weights and kick up my workouts a notch or 2. I need to see how things go then I will also start back with pilates 2x/week. My back feels better. The true test will be golf when I start back. Sorry if I missed anyone. Big bugs to you all & have a kick ass great week!
  4. Fill on Wed Mar 23 and down 1 lb since. Today on mushies . I am up to 5CC's I have more restriction but not sure how this will play out as I definetly have more resrtiction. But my stomach is a growling bear so happy to be off liquids and at the mushie stage. Happy Friday banders! Have a great weekend! Cheers, Kristi

  15. Hi gorgeous banders! Everyone is doing great! Keep up the great work! I am down 28 lbs since starting the pre-op diet and was banded Feb 9. I workout every day & carry food with me all the time so I make the right choices. I plan my meals all the time & dream up new recipes. My favourite night time snack is fat/sugar free chocolate pudding with a bit of Protein powder. Cottage cheese & fruit are my saviours during the day and Protein Bars for emergencies. The earthquake was horrific! We had a tsunami warning here in Vancouver. I was glued to the TV from I go for my first fill on March 23 & my clinic has also launched a WLS group so I am attended that too. I went to one local at one of the hospital and found it good. Everyone have a great weekend! Hugs, Kristi

Now I can handle it but have to have it after Breakfast and with lot of fat free condensed milk –yippee! Pmcclen2 – that is a great plan! I go for my first fill on March 23 & my clinic has also launched a WLS group so I am attended that too. I went to one local at one of the hospital and found it good. Everyone have a great weekend! Hugs, Kristi

  19. Jump up & down and try papya enzimes. Good luck!
  20. I miss bread, pizza & Dr.Pepper. I have had a bit of whole wheat pasta but not the same without my hot spicy sausages. No turning back!
  21. Hi fabulous Feb banders! I was banded one montha ago today on Feb 9th. I am doing well lost 28 lbs & 10.5 inches. No complaints & on reg food now. Keep up the great work all! Cheers, Kristi
  22. I was hungry a lot and just eat zero calerie items between meals & snack like jello, broth & hot choclate. I am 3.5 wks post op and am still hungry. For awhile I was actually eating too little. I keep a on-line food diary to track my caleries, fat, protein & carbs. Always go for protein fist. If you are hungry have more protein shake. Make sure it is 15-20g protein. I sip shakes through out the day. I carry them with me everywhere. Good luck!
  23. I was banded on Feb 9. Some days the pain is so brutal I thought maybe I threw my shoulder out. I try and stretch & work out - this helps. I find I get more pain when I eat too fast ot too much.
  24. Can you not bring your shake in a cooler bag to work? I carry shakes with me all the time so I don't get too hungry and make poor choices. I buy the Atkins ready made protein shakes.
  25. Mattie - I agree with everyone. It is not an easy journey! We still have to deal with the demons of how we ended up here. It is struggle every day. But you will feel better. I find when I do well on the scale I feel great and stay focused. Do you keep a food diary? I find this helps. I have an app on my phone that tells me how many caleries, fat, carbs & exercise... Stay strong and keep trying! We all can do it! K
