Week 7 Post-op

Hi gorgeous banders!   I have been destressing this weekend and preparing for a crazy week. DH b-day today and he loves his gift - ipad2. It was just released on Friday here in Canada so it won't be delivered until 3-4 wks.   DH hubby and I had a big 3 kms walk in the sunshine along the river. Went out to celebrate his b-day last night. The plan was to go dancing. We never go out. Just our luck we went out and the dj was lame and nobody was dancing. Also we were both so tired we wanted to go to bed. Sign of age? lol as we are in our early 40's.   We had a really lazy day today. Lunch out on the river and a big nap.   Since my fill on wed I am getting use to what works and not with the new plumbing. I have been a stuck a few times. I am eating less and just need to find what works. It is amazing how 2 CC's can change everything. I made a yummy egg, chicken & blue cheese puree.   Spring is here so we are going to start on our little yard in our town house. I want to spruce things up so going to do a few repairs and paint. Planning new planters & outside decor.   I only lost a pound this week but need to take measurements as I feel good and I am down another size. Another bag of clothing this week gone!   I am focused on my trip to Mexico with my BFF. I would like to be down 2 more sizes. One gal at my clients is calling me the blonde skinny bitch - I find it really motivating .   I am so excited that I can start back on weights and kick up my workouts a notch or 2. I need to see how things go then I will also start back with pilates 2x/week.   My back feels better. The true test will be golf when I start back.   Sorry if I missed anyone. Big bugs to you all & have a kick ass great week!

2 week's post-op

2 week’s post-op – all is going well. I am down another 7.5 lbs since surgery on Feb 9 for a total of 22.5 lbs.   Stitches are dissolving and can be gone now!   I have become the puree queen! I have become very creative and like my creations.   I carry food with me when I am out and about so I never get in a tough situation. This is working really well.   Last night was my first business meeting dinner with some good friends & business contacts. OMG can you say a sticky situation. I thought I would be able to eat slowly... I ordered an appetizer with shredded pork. I ate slowly and all of sudden it got stuck. Not only did it get stuck but I started to feel faint and light headed. I didn’t want to pass out. I didn’t want to alert my dinner friends so I just sucked up and thank god it passed. Today I still feel full and still stuck. I am going to stay with a liquid & puree diet for the next 48 hours as well as a nice walk today. Maybe next time Greek or Mexican may be better choices.   I hope to get my first fill in the next 3-4 weeks.

Day 15 pre-op & 1 day before banding!

I am feeling really good. Down another pound. I have been exercising and following the pre-op diet. I can't beleive that I haven't cheated. This is the first diet that hasn't derailed. I have my husband to thank. He did the same diet. He has had meals here and there. Not to mention popcorn & a big bag of chips. The movie popcorn that I love, instead I bring jello to eat. I am already counting the months that I can have a kernal or 2. August is the 6 month mark. On the weekend. My hubby bought a huge bag of Maui chips - one of my favorite. It didn't bother me as he ate them in the car beside me. I said the smell is so great I feel like I am eating them. I have truly turned the corner!   Right now I have tears of joy. Yes, tomorrow is the start of my new journey when I take my life back! I am scared of failing. I am a very positive person and can always visualize the future of what I want but sucess is the truth. I have to complete this goal or I won't live very long. This path of self destruction is not healthly.   Here I come!

Day 6 Pre-op

Al is going well. I am in the zone! I am almost half way to my surgery! I can't wait!   I have been out for dinner & a movie. All was good but hard. As I had to sit right beside triscuts & natcho chips my favorite!   Go to the movie & no popcorn was a major success. I thought I couldn't do it but no problem. I just took jello with me.   My poor hubby has had to put up with me being a bitch on this low cal diet.   I am down 6 lbs and will be mearsurements tomorrow!   I have been good exercising what I can with my back. As my back has been really sore.   Yesterday had a great walk along the sea wall & swim at the TCC.   God I want to fast foward to my surgery date!
