  1. I have my date Feb. 12th. I feel like I must be the only one who has been waiting a long time. I started all my visits and meetings (at U-Mass Weight Center,in Worcester, MA )in April 06. In March I went to my own Dr. to get his okay and document my weight and other health issues. Maybe it's my insurance that requires all of this(Blue Cross Blue Shield). But, my day if finally in sight. I'm so excited! My children are very supportive, my Husband is a different story, he is awful when it comes to surgerys, tubes, cuts, blood anything to do with hospitals and sick people. (On top of that his father died Jan 1st). So I'm on my own with this, at home anyway. But then there is my COMPUTER. Thanks Bonnie

I'm anxoius, annode, because everything is taking so long. Somedays I just want :hungry: all day long. Others I just do it because it is mealtime and I'll be sick if I don't. Will I fall on my face:faint: after surgery? Everyone is waiting for me to get this done, all I hear is whens your surgery? That long away? Thats not all that encouraging.

  4. Dear Margo, I started with my first meeting in 4-26-06. This did not include my appointent with my own Dr. I just met the Dr. who will do the surgery 12-21-06. He said about 8 weeks to surgery.:notagree I thought about throwing in the towel but it finally is coming to the day
  5. HMO Blue but it is the hospital (weight center) that has you go to meetings, see a shrink, a nutri. to make sure you know what you are getting into. They also set you up with an exercise program. What part of NH?
  6. I'm from MA and have HMO Blue. I'm waiting to hear the go ahead from the insurance co. My Dr. says there should be no problem getting them to paying. I have enough health issues to make the happy I guess. Dr. Kelly out of U-Mass, Worcester is going to do it. I should get the word with in the new 2 weeks.
  7. Congratulations!! I'm waiting for the okay from my insurance. I'll have my surgery through U-Mass in Worcester MA. Hopefully this will take place in Feb. I started attending meetings for this in April 06. Seems like a long time coming.
  8. I love this thread, post or what ever it's called. I'm 54, and if all goes well will ge banded in Feb. 2007. I was so excited when I went to my first meeting. That was in April 06. Now I've been getting nervous and wondering if I'm to old for this. But I want to be able to walk without pain. Reading what you have all posted has definetly made me feel better.Thank-you
  9. I guess for all the meetings I had to go to, I have no Idea what the band size is or means. Does that have anything to do with the amount of fills you need? How long after you have been banded do they do a fill?
  10. My banding should take place in Feb. So it makes me feel real good to hear you are doing so well. kedasmom
  11. I started meetings in April I'm now waiting for Dr. Kelly (U-Mass, Worcester MA) to get papers from insurance, so maybe about the end of February I'll be banded. Bonnie
