I would like to hear what your experience has been with HMO Blue. They sent me their policies and it looks like it's covered...if so how strict are they about proof of weight loss programs? be sure to have bmi of 40 or some major problems... my asthma, arthritis, borderline hypertention, wasn't enough..at a bmi of 37.7 save yourself time.. and worry..donnaco

I'm from MA and have HMO Blue. I'm waiting to hear the go ahead from the insurance co. My Dr. says there should be no problem getting them to paying. I have enough health issues to make the happy I guess. Dr. Kelly out of U-Mass, Worcester is going to do it. I should get the word with in the new 2 weeks.

HMO Blue Value paid for my surgery as I was over BMI of 35 and had Hypertension. They also pay for a BMI over 40. I did have a $500 deducitble that I paid for the hospital stay. Not too shabby...
