I totally hear ya! my surgery was 2/16/11 and to be honest with you, i still have trouble sleeping. i sleep on my stomach, always have! the port sometimes hurts. i don't know if it's the pressure or what but it def hurts sometimes. The first 3 weeks were the worst though! I slept on my couch, kind of sitting up on my right side. That was the only was I could really sleep!
Good luck with your journey and get some rest! <3

I am almost 2 months post op. I feel amazing. The first 2 or 3 weeks I honestly felt like I was going to die! Kept thinking "what the hell did I get myself into? Why do I have to be going through this just to get skinny?" It was emotionally draining and got to the point to where I jusdt wanted to GIVE UP! I don't get my first fill till Thursday. I've had to wait because my dcts only do fills tue and thu and my job didn't allow me to take off. Back to the point... everyone experiences this whole process differently. You just have to remember to keep your head up and remember what this could bring you in the near future. This isn't an easy fix. We have to work for this.... it sucks that we can't go eat a big mac or fried chicken . Stay strong and don't just rely on the bad! No this isn't meant for everyone, but please stay strong! We are all here for support!
Good Luck!!! <3

yeah ive been walking around as much as possible. I fee lso sleepy still from the anesthesia. I return to work on sat which i am a little nervous about. but my pain level is prob at lie a 3 out of 10. i am just very uncomfortable.

well all they gave me was pain killers and meds for nausea. and they recommend you to walk as much as possible. that will relieve some of the gas pain. You have to make sure the blood keeps flowing.

yea that's what the doctor said . he said nothing about my chest hurting though. they found a hernia while in surgery and removed it, so that's the only thing i can imagine making my chest hurt. i do however feel so much better though than i did yesterday. I'm not hungry art all, the fluids are doin my justice! ive experience a little but i nausea but that is expected.

I am pre op as well.. and I've been on the nutritionist diet for about a month. My surgery is next month. The hardest thing is... not having caffeine!!!! Caffeine headaches are the absolute worst! Only the first couple days were bad though. I started taking multi vitamins and a protein shake with skim milk plus in the morning. That helps me out a lot, energy wise. It also satisfies my hungry for about 3 hours as well. The beginning is always the most, but think about what it will give us in the end... LIFE all over again! Good luck to you! You will do wonderful! And we are all here for support! <3

my doctor didnt really tell me i had to diet before hand, but suggested I do. I am pretty much doing what u said. It's been a week since the new diet, I'm pretty used to it. Protein shakes in the am replace my coffee that's def the hardest thing to get used to. No coffee haha
