  1. Hi everyone.....I can finally say I have a date : ) Valentines Day! My BMI is 41 and its been about 2 and a half months for me to get all my approvals and everything done. I am so happy and can't wait! My pre-op diet is just clear liquids 24 hours before thank goodness... Good Luck to us all! Jamie
  2. I went thru a pulmonologist and it was awful! I was the same as u I swear I didn't sleep @ all but apparently I did and they found I had mild sleep apnea.
  3. I'm going thru dr. Goldstein in voorhees. I went to one of his seminars and made an appt with him the same day....he seems great. And Ali my preop is only 24 hours clear liquid the day before. I'm so thankful for that. But I weighed in today and he wants me to lose more in the next two weeks or so before surgery.
  4. Thanks Stacy : ) this is going to be the best valentines present ever!

  9. So I'm really confused, I got my post op diet from the nutritionist and she has me on 80-90 grams of Protein. I thought that sounded like alot for me because high protein causes me to get kidney stones. I've been worried since I got the post op diet and I just saw that the recommended protein for a woman is like 35ish??? i know I need protein but do I have to drink three Protein shakes (20g protein) a day and then some...Please help. Any comments welcome Thanks Jamie
  10. I am freaking out. I have had kidney stones at least five times in the past ten years and was told by my urologist to keep my protein intake under control. SO....I found out today what my nutritionist would like me to have after surgery. That's a lot of protein. Anyone else have problems with kidney stones????
  11. I feel the same way the closer I get to surgery. And like Amy said it is a very personal decision....for me I keep going back to my facts. I have been successful on almost every diet I've ever tried....for two weeks or maybe a month or maybe even a few months, but I always gained back all the weight and thensome. I know the surgery is what I need to help me change my life. Good luck whatever you choose to do : ) Jamie
  12. Good Luck! You will do great : )
  13. Good Luck! You'll do great : )
  14. I always hear everyone say one week but I'm going to wait until Dr. Goldstein tells me what he thinks. I'm so excited! I am trying to think of questions I want to ask him so I can write them down. Last time I had an appt. I went blank. This time I will be prepared!
  15. I'm with you Amadna1892 I have 125 to lose as well. Can't wait to get this started. We're all gonna do great!

  17. Oh that's great! I'm so happy for you. I can't wait to walk out of that office on the 25th and know my surgery date. I feel like its the start to my new life..I know its cheesy but I have been a prisoner too food for YEARS and it stops here : )
  18. Mine was super easy. I think the guy I saw was just looking to see that I understood the band wasn't a cure all and that I would need to make changes etc. After the "interview" I had to take a multiple choice test it was about 200 questions...but they were ridiculous like do you hear voices, do you harm yourself, do you feel like people are out to get you. You'll do fine just answer all the questions honestly and you're good!
  19. Good luck! You'll do great : )
  20. Yup....I work @ a police department and the possibilities are endless! They are constantly ordering out, fast food, donuts, cakes and cookies being brought in philly pretzle factory and boost slushies! Its been sooo hard especially since I have to lose 10lbs before pre op. Aaaaaahhhhhh!
  21. Congrats I was just approved yesterday and I go the 25th for pre op appt....yay!!
