  4. It was great! They numbed my belly and didnt hurt at all! I actually could feel the saline fly thru the line and around my stomach! Kinda cool. I got 4cc in a 10cc band. I'm hoping this will be the beginning of great success! Anyone know If I can eat pudding or yogurt today?
  5. Chat!? What??? Lol. Anyone else use this site from their iPhone safari? (mobile Internet site)... I have never seen a chat... But that's awesome!
  6. Thank you so much! Is he pretty easy going about fills? Or does he only fill when HE wants to?
  7. Need a new doctor in the Philadelphia area. Anyone know of any really good ones?
  8. Just had my 6 week post op appointment. My doctor told me 5 minutes before surgery that he would not fill me at this time. Turns out, he will not fill me for another 6-8 weeks. He says when he does fill me he will only put a little in to 'prime' the tubing. Then he says i will come back in another 6-8 weeks for a fill ONLY if I have lost at least a 1/2 lb a week by diet and exercise!!!! So, he wants me to somehow lose weight that I have never been able to do on my own before surgery before he is willing to help me. PLUS making me wait at least 4 months post op but maybe 5-6 months just for my first real fill. Thoughts? Anyone ever heard of this?? Can I and should I switch doctors so soon?
  9. -heating pad -liquid Tylenol -snap in front bra with no underwire - something for nausea (my dr didn't prescribe anything)
  10. My doctor decided to tell me 5 minutes before wheeling me back to the OR that he will see me in 6 weeks and WILL NOT fill me at that time. I'm 2 weeks post op and already know I need a fill! How many weeks did you all have to wait for a first fill?
  11. I am 12 days post-op and am supposed to be on full liquids for another 2 days then mushies for 2 weeks. I feel great! Barely any pain at the incision so started a trial and error about 3 days ago. Unfortunatly, I can stomach just about everything I have tried. Chicken, potatoes, pizza, broccoli, apples ect. I already know I have NO restriction and now I'm just disappointed. :-(
  12. Some people crave lemons when they have iron deficient anemia.
  13. I'm guessing productive burp?
  14. Mom2amwt, I just started counting calories today. I am using the loseit! App on the iPhone which told me I am allowed 1500 calories to lose 2 lb/wk. I would like to lose a little more then that so today I ate 1200 calories but I am starving! I'm hoping this gets easier. How many calories are you consuming? Are you still on liquids?
  15. I'm 6 days post-op and starving as well. I'm on a full liquid diet for 12 days. I Too have been picking at little things my fiancé is eating and it's all going down fine. I recommend the cream of rice, it's filling and has some texture and I made it with beef broth for flavor. I made cous cous tonight and drank water with each bite and im feeling just fine! I feel like it is really hard to eat healthy when your stuck on liquids. All I want is baked chicken and broccoli with lemon!! Good luck!
  16. I was banded 1-11-11 so I am 6 days post-op. I keep reading how people banded around the time I was are already 'working out'. My question is, how? I have no pain other then at my port site. When I walk a feel like the bouncing of my belly makes it feel worse so I hold pressure on that area so it can't bounce. I am 222lbs, so I don't think I'm all That big but I would love to work out right now. Anyone else have this problem or is it just me? I want to work out! Also, Doc says no lifting over 10lbs for 1 month. I have a 20lb dog that pulls when I walk her, bad idea?
  17. -skinny jeans with knee high boots -leggins with just a big shirt and my uggs -tank tops/shorts -cute sundresses
  18. Lost 5 pounds on my 5 day pre-op diet. I got banded yesterday and when I woke up this morning I gained 5.5 pounds!! Is this normal? How much does the bad itself weigh?
  19. I am 8 hours post-op! Woot!! I feel great. Scratchy throat/voice from the tube and pain when I sit or stand in my abdomen, other then that enjoying my vicodin and taking many naps. Good luck all. It really wasn't bad ( so far)
  20. Getting banded this Tuesday 1-11-11 in southeastern PA. Dr. Doesn't usually keep overnight unless medically required. I am 24yo, perfectly healthy, just fat. My surgery is scheduled for 0800 and they are calling for a big snow storm to start early afternoon. What if I can't get home!?
  21. I'm 1-11-11 also! Good luck! I'm sooo excited! :-)
  22. Getting banded 1-11-11! On day 2 of pre-op diet and it's not SO bad. Started this process in September 2010. I don't think 4 months was too bad. Good luck to all!!
