Lemons and Salt

I have a current addiction to sliced lemons with salt. It is so strange. I crave them to the point that my mouth waters just thinking about them. I wonder if this new craving comes from a lack of certain Vitamins or minerals since being banded. I take a Multivitamin and Calcium daily. Has anyone else experienced this?

no I haven't had this craving, but now that you type it, it sounds good. Wonder how limes would do .. DH usually keeps them in the fridge. Oh, I better not, the salt would make me retain water. phooey.

No, but that can be very hard on your teeth. I am trying to be addicted to my purple protein water though!

It could be due to imbalances in your blood. It's worth asking your Dr for a vitamin/mineral blood panel to make sure there's nothing missing in your diet, as can happen with WLS and our modified diets.

My mother used to salt oranges and apples when I was a kid.
