  1. You are looking great Actually, if I could even hope to look even a smidgen close to what you look like now, I'd be thrilled!! Congratulations!
  2. I'm so sorry that this has happened. I think your husband is just trying to say that he might feel insecure if you become thin and attractive -- actually, it's a good thing, in a guy-sort-of-way, that he's telling you this. You can tell him exactly what you said to us -- that he's been such a wonderful husband, that he's literally been through thick and thin with you, and there is no way you would ever leave him -- he's too good I hope that helps and I hope you feel better soon!
  3. Hooray!! That is so awesome -- and wearing nice clothes and best of all feeling sexy! Gosh I don't even know what that feels like!! Congratulations!
  4. wow your before and after pics are amazing -- like two totally different women -- I'm serious!! You look outstanding Congratulations!!!
  5. that's hysterical just the imagery of it along it is the BEST NSV I've heard of Now go shopping!! (some place cool too )
  6. I really don't know -- after about 3 weeks, it was just easier for me to drink water -- I drink it normally too -- no sippy, sippy, sippy -- so I really don't know. I just drink -- now some days I'm better then others -- on my bad days I'll realize 2 hours before bed that I have 32 oz. to drink and then I'm drinking like there's no tomorrow (and peeing in the middle of the night too )

  8. wow! that is incredible!!! you have lost a ton of weight! hey, when you come here next year, we have to get together, ok??
  9. I really am doing just the basics -- I eat until my stomach says stop (it's usually a slight nauseous feeling) -- I drink 64 oz. of Water a day -- and I walk my doggies a lot. I do eat a lot of Protein first -- I'm trying to combine more veggies in my eating but sometimes I get full before I eat many veggies. I did a video for YouTube where you can see my before and "during" pics -- I really am just very overwhelmed with how the sleeve is working. crazy. Here's the link to the video: Thanks guys for all your support, you really don't know how much it means to me
  10. I can't begin to tell you guys how happy I am with the sleeve and what a difference it has made in my life. It's just beginning to dawn on me that this is really happening and that I don't have to worry that I'll gain it all back or do something that will make the scale gods unhappy with me. I really really am so excited for my future -- I just can't believe it -- I feel like I have to pinch myself!! Thank you all for your support -- even though I haven't said it enough, you guys are the best! Starting weight: 303.6 Today: 249.2
  11. Whoo whoo! way to go Cherice!! 4 lbs is awesome and getting out of the 200s is even better!! Onderland Way to go
  12. I am so happy that I got the sleeve -- it wasn't a perfect landing (1st 2 weeks were tough), but now that I'm outside of that and trying to get my emotions in order as well as follow the physical requirements of being sleeved, I can't help but be sooo thankful for so many things. And I'd love to hear what you're thankful for as well as we go along this journey together. My list (surely, not complete, but it's a start): 1) I am soooo thankful for this forum. I'm thankful for the advise, the wisdom, the comfort -- I don't always write back to the person who's given me the advise when I come across it, but you all should know how very thankful I am that I have you in my life 2)I am thankful that I like being active again -- I love my exercise, love my jaunts around the city. At 303 lbs., there wasn't much that I enjoyed doing that was physical. I am so thankful I can move! 3) I am thankful for realizing how dependent I was on food for comfort -- I'm just now starting to read Eat It Up! by Connie Stapleton (post WLS guide) -- it has opened my eyes to why I was fat, what I used my fat for, etc. It's kinda bittersweet -- sad that I was/am using those strategies, happy that I realize what I was/am doing and that I can overcome them. 4) I am thankful that I have a new lease on life -- both health-wise and socially -- I don't know what the future will hold for me in my social life when I get to goal, but I do know it will be different and I'm thankful for it. I am also thankful that I get to spend the next half of my life being more healthy and active than I ever was. That's it for now -- I know there's more, but it's a beginning! I'd love to hear what you all are thankful for
  13. I have a vlog on YouTube -- it's a lot of fun because there's a huge WLS community on YouTube -- anyway, here's my vlog: Julie's Weight Loss Journey
  14. I am sooo sorry this is happening to you. And I know it's made even worse that the doctors don't know what is happening. I'm so sorry. To be completely upfront, the first 2 weeks, I had the dry heaves -- sometimes with a little vomiting, but after the healing process (I'm assuming), I have ONLY felt nausea when I have eaten too fast and eaten too much. Unfortunately, I'm a fast eater by nature and sometimes I forget to slow down. My 12 year old son will remind me, "Mom, eat slow or you're gonna feel bad." I know others have had the same issues within the first couple of weeks as well. And speaking only for myself, these issues have all but disappeared now. I eat and then I get a full feeling and then I stop because if I don't, I know what will happen. I really hope you find some answers -- please continue to post because if nothing else, we are good listeners Take care and big hugs!
  15. wow -- sounds like you've been through a lot -- I'm so thrilled for you that you're finally looking at the end of the road -- keep us updated!
  16. I'm excited for you too -- keeping my fingers crossed!
  17. Hooray!! Congratulations!
  18. thank you thank you!! this is awesome
  19. Oregondaisy -- how are you able to change the IP board?? I don't see it when I look at the bottom of the board -- thanks
  20. I have 5 -- 4 of them are like directions on a map, each pointing a different way and the one where he took out my stomach is an X (buried treasure??) -- but I'm not concerned either -- I have silver stretch marks, one long horizontal scar from an ectopic pregnancy . . . I figured that if I ever get a tummy tuck, maybe some of my "roadmap" as Tiff called it will disappear with it.
  21. Wonderful -- very very well put I'm so happy that you're feeling good and that your head is where it should be
  22. If you look at the lower right part of your screen there's a little bar that says Chatrooms -- click on that and you'll see the chatrooms
  23. Here are my 3 things: 1) being able to fit into a teeny airline seat (I have to travel for over 12 hours to get back to the States to visit family) -- I would like not to have to worry if I'm spilling over onto someone else. 2) I would like to buy clothes here in Paraguay where all the women are super thin. So far, I'm still ordering from the States. 3) I am looking forward to going to the beach/pool in a swimming suit and not feel like a beached whale.
  24. Congratulations!! I know how excited you must be
