  3. That is so nice, thank you! I am going for the 30 mile course since I have only been riding 2 months. I am really blown away you are donating,, you made my day! My Tourdecure!
  4. WoW! Why is it men can take off the weight so fast??? 100 pounds in under 5 months. JUST NOT FAIR!
  5. World Market sells small 5 oz bottles of Torani syrup. You might also hit some coffee places or gas stations that sell coffee as a lot of them are putting our these sryups for the customers,, great way to get a sample or two
  6. Bumping this as I am really courious!
  7. Breakfast: Protein shake 30 grams protien 2 carbs Snack: Greek Yogurt/ plain 7 carbs 15 grams protien lunch 3 turkey meatballs with spaghetti sauce 2 carbs, 18 protien Snack: cheese stick or hand full of cashews. dinner: Usually chicken and salad.
  8. I am 7 months out and I have just really noticed my temples are really bare all of the sudden. I had been using Nioxium all along. My hair lady suggestd Roaine or the likes now. I am not sure about that. I have been really creative with my bangs to hide the missing hair HOWEVER I would not EVER want to stay fat to keep my hair. I am so much happier and healtheir now! Worse comes to worse I will get a wig or some weavs put in!
  9. Ok, I have resigned myself to the loose skin thing. I am praying that this skin thing resolves somewhat, I know it will never be perfect. My arms are looking better, but my stomach has that wrinkled blah jiggly crap going on, I know I will get a tummy tuck. NOW for the shocker part ( to me that is) Suddenly, even though the scale is not moving much right now my thighs have taken on the same apperance of my stomch, I mean like boom! All of the sudden! I am also noticing the fat pads gone recently from the butt and in the areas around my ribs and inner elbow area. I figure my body is redistributing things since the scale is not moving much. So for those of you who are maintaining,, does this skin thing seem to happen like that and then get better? I am working out and toning in hopes it will get better.

At the 4 month mark my Daughter said to me, " Mom it is time for some new bras" So she was in charge. We went to layne bryat and she got me these bras to try that are padded with a bump in the bottom of the inside up. At first I did not like them, but when I look down now ( with shirt on) I feel like a I have a rack again:)
  11. Hills do suck! But I am getting better at them! My first event is next week!
  12. Sorry I did not see this post earlier. I got the Raliegh Venture. I have a hard time posting pics here so if you google it you will be able to see it. Not a sport bike, a comfort bike but I love it all the same. My knee will not let ride the down forward position. I have not had a problem using water bottles on the ride, I did not have the straw/sippy cup restriction. I had a rack put on and I keep some frozen drinks in the bag and one in the water bottle holder. I am signed up for my first event next Saturday! Tourdecure for diabetes!
  13. YOU CAN DO THIS! It is a means to an end. A SKINNY END!
  14. OH my new addiction is so EXCERCISE! I feel wrong without it, I crave it even! I have taking up bike riding, yoga, walking, aqua size and step! Who am I!
  15. Hi there, I am 7 mouths post op and feeling GREAT! I am actually meeting with a couple of other sleevers in the area about once a week as our own little support system. Would love to have anyone join us! We usually meet on Mon or Wed and get a shared bite to eat. I figure navigating eating out is something we need to learn and we have great conversation and support each other.
  16. Well first off, it takes some time to get that hormone gerhlin out of you system. Are you taking an acid reducer? Sometime the brain can mistake the rumblings of acid stomach with hunger. If you are 3 days post, fluids should should help you quell real hunger, really examine where you are feeling hunger from, your stomach or your head. I promise once you start seen the weight come off you will have NO regrets! HANG in there ,, we are here for you!

Ok this is the first time since surgery that I am having a period that I would call "real". However it is beyond heavy! It started out of the blue yesterday with NO PMS warnings what so ever! It started out heavy and has gotten worse. Like someone turned on a faucet! Here comes the TMI part, I am soaking through a tampon into a pad about every hour, had a gusher at work that required a clothing change. When is too much too much and should I go to urgent care for this? I have no cramps, just the faucet flow. I am thinking my hormones are whacked. Any suggestions on slowing it down? PS,,, I am 47.
  18. You look FANTABULOUS Dear!
  19. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Pics????
  20. I LOVE Nachos at movies, don't know why but I can't seem to have one without the other. I order them with cheese and jalapenos on the side. I take a diet snapple with me in my purse. I eat about 1/4th of the nachos and i am DONE! The full que is very much there and I listen to it. When I am done I pass the remainder to my husband. Snacking is not longer the same. It is not just something to do and pacify. Now I enjoy the food for the food, not the desire to eat away the stress ect..... when I am done and am done!
  21. I am at 7 months and I now fight for every ounce gone! I have been so restrictive that I think it hurt me as I found that when I splurged I lost???? Now by splurging I warn you that is NOT anywhere close to a pre op splurge. My spurge last week was a taco bell chicken fresco taco, WAIT ARE YOU READY FOR THIS??? WITH the soft shell! Yes I ate carbs! Then I followed that 2 hours later with some tuna fish, no bread! I have been adding a 4th meal to my day that consists of lean Protein and veggie as I have upped my exercise routine exponentially as of late, not out of calorie burning,, but out of a strong desire to tone and it just plain feels good and my day is off with out it! Who would have thought such craziness in my head a few years ago!!!! Now for me a typical day goes like this: Protein shake Greek yogurt (snack) 4 oz of chicken ( I order out with the girls or bring some from the night before. Things like chicken fajita meat and veggies, boaster chicken, chicken salad, bbq chicken, ect........... all meat no carbs) I will also eat 3 turkey meat balls (trader Joes frozen) with some spaghetti sauce and mozzarella cheese, it soothes my desire for a plate of spaghetti. Also from the dollar store I get tuna and chicken salad snack packs and eat them as lunch, some days I will splurge and order some Soup to go with the snack pack. Some days I have a a bit of the salad my co workers order ( they are huge!) they have either chicken or turkey and cheese with hard boiled egg on it. afternoon snack is usually a string cheese stick or hand full of cashews. I have noticed I suddenly can fit a LOT more in my sleeve this last month than before, and it scared me~ I just make sure everything is protien based and I exercise more! dinner is usually out with the hubby and I will have some veggie or onion soup and a tad bit of what meat he orders and maybe a veggie or salad.
  22. Totally normal! As a matter of fact abound my 6 week mark I stalled for like a MONTH! AFTER gaining like 4 pounds. Google some weight loss stalls and glycogen loss and it will all start to make sense. Understanding what your body is going through and accepting the numbers on the scale are 2 different beasts and it plays games with your head for sure,,,but trust me this will pass. During my month long stall, when the scale did not budge I lost a pant size! Now here I am again lost 2 and then nothing, yet my legs and butt are still shrinking and bones are protruding. ( it hurts to sit on hard things, how the hell do skinny people do it?) Just stick to the plan, don't kill yourself exercising too much and mix up the calorie intake get in plenty of fluids!
  23. Could your nerves be making it higher? Is it white coat syndrome? Get a machine and right your numbers down at varying times of the day,,, record the lowest. What is really weird is you are going to be in a hospital where they could give you a med pre op to make your bp more acceptable to them. I was on 5 , yes 5 bp meds pre op. I came home on 0! As a matter of fact my bp was very low in the hospital due to all those great pain meds!
  24. Thank you! I know getting used to buying in smaller sizes takes some learning, however when I have a medium too big at 164 I KNOW they are messing with the sizes!
  25. So today as I sat at work flipping through a magazine I noticed an add for Old Navy introducing Compression pants,, now that I am into biking I was like hell yeah. So I go after work to find the grey/pinks on clearance. I instinctively grabbed and XL off the rack. They were HUGE! I find this hard to believe as I remember years ago their clothes were so skimpy I would never have stepped foot in the place for me. Well I ended up buying a medium and I think I could have done a small to tell the truth. I know at my weight there is no way I am that small!
