Congratulations on your accomplishments! My biggest question is what consequences are you seeing as a result of not eating after a run? Are you suffering because of it, or just concerned that it’s abnormal / not part of the program? A lot of runners I know have trouble eating after a run, and they don’t try to force it. If you’re not having I’ll effects from delayed eating, I’d let it go. Otherwise, please say more about the problems it’s causing. For me, the hardest part of becoming an endurance athlete after RNY was adapting the nutrition I was supposed to follow with the nutrition my body actually needed. I’ve since done a marathon, 13 half marathons, a bunch of Olympic and sprint triathlons, and a handful of 60+ mile bike rides. I’m just shy of 5 years out.

IM IN A STALL, but im ok...

Alright guys, im currently in the middle of a stall. but im not panicking at all. its been a week and my weight has stayed the exact same every single morning. (im a daily weigher) My diet hasnt changed at all, and neither has my exercise, so i know this is just part of the process. This forum prepared me for this though, so i will keep track on here how my stall is going. its only been a week, could be a few more. Who knows. Hopefully it break soon! But ill keep at it regardless.

I'm 2.5+ years post op. For the first 1 year or, so I did weight, then I added spinning instructor with two days a week. For the past year, it has been less weights, and at the end of February I added running. Up until now I ran 3 days a week, with 2h as my long runs. Since February, I have done 1x4.1k, 1x5k, 1x7k, 1x10k and 2x half-marathon races. It took a while to figure out what works during my long runs, and the best combination is sour candy and electrolytes. I still go spinning twice a week, but now run 4 days a week. Strength 1-2 days. My issue is, I'm not hungry after runs, even if I do fasting runs in the morning. I struggle to get food in me. I'm also not eating nutritional enough. I often do a Protein Shake after a run, but that just postpone eating for even longer. Smoothies are easier than food, but I struggle with those as well. If anyone have any suggestions for me, I would be very grateful.

You go in with the butterflies and the chop em out - Once they yank out 85% of you stomach they open it up let the butterflies out and remove all the debris and recycle the metals. In my case they need a 55 gallon drum for 52 years of **** eating and consumption. Found some cool stuff i had lost. No above is not real - So do not panic

Good list, can be modified for a woman. No boxers / boy shorts instead for comfort, sports bra, I still want that zip up hoodie, t-shirt, sunglasses, lip balm, hair in a high bun, backpack or cute gym bagfor light packing, no jogging shorts, but everything else you said, once I figure out the binder. I need my own pillowcase at least on 1 pillow.

1/2 cup of food is 4 oz and that's about the size of food/meal I was told to eat, every two hours. Over that amount, you're over eating. Eating slower too, would help also! I am 7 years post op and still have the problem you are describing. Laying down on your back helps with the pain for some reason. At least it does to me. Good Luck!

    Four weeks post op RNY

I had RNY 10/11 surgery weight 211 and I'm 190 now. So about the same as you. I figure the slower it comes off the better chance of keeping off. I'm also hoping it will mean less saggy skin. Keep following the plan. You're doing great!
