I’m in Washington my surgery is on the 24th as well. My pre op as been going well. Protein shakes and one meal a day. Have protein and veggies with legumes. I prepare my meals for the week on Sunday mostly fish because I don’t eat meat. How’s yours going? “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

You don’t have to be alone. Make delicious delicacies. But the best quality small meals instead of quantity meals and live your life. I’m already planning on buying expensive cuts of meat and seafood and eating the appropriate sized portions with fruits and veggies. You can have delicious meals for the rest of your life and live like you always have. This surgery only provides you with the tool you need to lose weight but it doesn’t change or fix any life problems you may have had prior. If that may be the case talk to your doctor & maybe seek counseling. Good luck & congrats on your surgery.

    2 week liquid diet

Premier protein is absolutely delicious. The diet isn’t hard I have 7 days left in mine. Consist of water and protein shakes. With one meal a day that consist of protein and veggies and maybe some legumes. You can do. I’m happy for you that you’re getting your surgery date “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Flying Solo and kind of scared

Do you have a local support group for folks going through WLS? Might be a good place to make a friend or two to share the experience with?

I’m really ready. I have a close friend who is a year post op and seeing her go through the experience really inspired me. You can totally do the pre-op diet!

    To All The WLS Vets

Since I'm a pre-surg noob and can't post to your Veterans forum, I just want to say thank you to each and every one of you for answering thousands of questions from us newbies! Thank you for sharing your journeys through the ups and downs. Thank you for giving me (I'm not gonna speak for anyone else lol), the opportunity to witness your scale and NS victories. I've learned and will continue to learn so much from your challenges and journeys. You wouldn't even believe! I hope one day to be able to pay it forward to others. And I really, truly hope that I'm now mature enough to learn from your experience, without having to reinvent the wheel through personal trial and error!!! Again, huge debt of gratitude and thanks to you all!
