    10 day post wow!

I had my first follow up appointment today at my 10 day mark and lost 20 pounds since my surgery! I didn't really do much pre-op so I know its a lot of water weight, but seeing that number was awesome! So shocked. I was actually debating on wether or not to look at the scale for my weigh in but I am so glad I did.

    SURGERY TOMORROW!

So my surgery is tomorrow, and I made the mistake of not asking off today. I didn't know that I had to drink a whole bottle of magnesium citrate today so today will be interesting... I'm super excited for tomorrow though!

    Encouragement

You've got this! It's all about learning how to navigate this new world. My family and I went on a trip to Hawaii in Feb, like 4 months post op. I packed P3 in a lunch box so that I would be good on the 9.5 hour flight.

    3 days post op

So I am 3 days post op! I have come down to one problem that I haven't seen before. And it's dehydration. All I want to do is drink drink and drink more water. I feel so thirsty. But I can only drink so much and it's driving me insane. I can't even drink my protein because I fee that it makes me more thirsty.

Can I purchase Nexium packets online?

PEPCID AC chewables should work as a good substitute & are readily available over the counter email everywhere

    Question/ help

I'm with everyone else on this one. It seems you have your mind set on getting WLS, so try to change your PCP and get a second opinion. It seems your current PCP has personal feelings towards WLS and probably won't make the process any easier. You want a doctor who is going to support you and help out during this life changing process. Good luck!

    Upper GI worries

You've got a point. I described my endoscopy experience because the OP mentioned sedation and a tube in the throat. An Upper GI is just drinking some gunk and watching the X-ray screen to see how it goes down.

    Ice cream

Found a way to get fluids and protein, and a treat. Ordered popsicle molds and made my own orange creamsicle. I use Bariatic Advantage Orange Cream shake mix (27g Protein) and use 8 oz of Fairlife nonfat milk (13g protein) instead of Water. Mix well in blender. Makes 6 popsicles. It's a little thick, so I could not drink it as a shake, but great as a frozen treat. I usually eat 2 (13g protein) or 3 (20g protein) at a time for a snack. Plus it's a Meal Replacement shake mix, so has other nutrients. Also made with Bariatric Advantage strawberry, chocolate and iced latte flavors.
