Welll.... got my brachio. On post op day 4. Feeling pretty good. It's still very swollen. Here's post op day 3 photo. I can't wait to be healed and wearing t shirt. I have to wear this compression top for 2 weeks straight then for 12 hours a day for 4 more weeks or so.

You have so much to be proud of. Clearly you are tough and determined. It is terrible that they took away your desire to pursue Christ. Prayers that someone who is truly walking that path will meet you and demonstrate real faith.

    Ladies ONLY.

Hey y’all! I was sleeved on 04/28 so I’m one week out, however, I’ve been having some dark brown discharge (not super heavy) but it started 2-3 days post op. I’m wondering if it’s surgery related which would be weird right ? But I had my period 4/19 so wondering if it’s just delayed discharge from that. Pretty much wondering if this has happened to anyone else?

Coming up on 15 years after VSG

A couple things related to my weight gain - when I gained weight it was due to eating fast food/junk food during nursing school and then the pandemic (people sending goodies to hospitals) and the stress of the job. I also had two traumatizing relationships in that mix - what was 30lbs would have been 60lbs pre-wls When I was gaining weight, I wasn't stepping on the scale. So now, I do this often to keep me accountable. You are going to regain some, your stomach is tiny and then the swelling goes down and you can eat more (and you should)! I feel like wls is the only way I could have kept this off. The best thing is that the food noise is gone! I would redo the surgery once a year, every year, if I had to. That's how important is been to me.

Does your surgeon's office have a patient navigator or insurance coordinator? They are pretty experienced in dealing with insurance companies, so that's probably your best bet.

I Want To See Before & After Pics! (Cont'd)

My wife bought me a custom-made suit as an early birthday gift and it fits me perfectly. The first photo was taken on our wedding day 11 years ago and the other two were taken yesterday with the new suit. Wedding suit vs new suit 11 years after and 2 and half year post WLS. I need to buy new shoes as well since my old shoes are too big now

Okay so tonight I had cauliflower crust pizza. I didn’t make the crust. It was frozen. Not the absolute greatest but not terrible either. I made it with ricotta, mozz, chicken and onions so I got my protein at least. I have a battle between my brain and my stomach trying not to eat too terrible in these next couple of weeks Before I start my preop.

    Carnivore Diet

Hi! I had RNY in 2005, gained every pound back on, plus 30. I transferred my food addiction to substances. Alcohol especially. Carby slider foods and wine were a disaster. I have been healed from various medical issues and lost 120 lbs regain, so far. This was done with the Carnivore way of eating. I call it my "healthstyle". I am also now free from addiction. Feel free to message me, if you get this message from such an old post. I hope you're doing well. I hope to hear from you. Yes, the pic on the left was many years after surgery.

I'm not finished with weight loss yet, as I'm waiting for revision. So stay tuned... My photos aren't that great, especially my first pic. I forbade my photo to be taken so I literally have none of my fattest days and I still don't like taking photos. 😩 Sent from my SM-G991U1 using BariatricPal mobile app
